Hi everyone! My last map was a bit of a flop, but this one is hopefully better. Its a DM map, although naturally some other modes are supported.
As usual I'll give you some pictures and you can make comments :)

mediocre design

Well, you still have to get a hand on Shading. And try designing maps with less open air spaces.

I haven't done any shading yet, I'll get on to it immediately ;)
Its not as open as you might think. Except when you fall down, but the then you are going to die when your jet runs out so it doesn't matter that much. Any ways I can improve it? Thats why I'm here...

Give it to me straight Doc, is this map salvagable or is it a total write-off? :/

Write off. It's clear that you have ideas, but you don't have the design skills yet :) Shading is the key, and close every map so players won't fall off.

I've done some shading, added some sceneries and fog. I've also made the top of the ledge much less flat. And I've also raised the wall above the ledge, and a small wall at the bottom of the map (The whole bottom of the map is deadly by the way).
I'll try to upload my pictures now.

EDIT: Uploading my pictures could take a while, imageshack seems to be down and my Ripway acount can't seem to upload them. THe Moo' uploader seems to not be uploading properly either. Oh well.

I like the layout of this map. It is original.
