I had downloaded the new dedicated server for Windows and when I opened the file, the black screen came up and then i continuously get an error that says: "soldatserver.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
So i cannot run the program. I have Windows XP if that helps. Does anyone know what the problem is?

also try:
uninstalling.

deleting the folder (backup any logs you want elsewhere)

redownloading from another source

reinstalling.

try running dxdiag to check that your system supports directx 8
