Barrel of Crude is around 65-66 now, down from 72+ from when the hurricane hit. IT was down to around 63 a couple of days ago :S. But Crude Oil doesnt have too much affect on gas prices.

However, here in New york, gas prices have constantly went down and seem to have settled at around 2.90 per gallon. Still fuxxed up, cross the river and in new jersey they are around 2.60 a gallon. :o

Stop complaining. The fuel prices here in the UK are bloody stupid compared to what you pay. I've seen just short of £1 per litre. I'm not quite sure what that is converted to American units, but I'm sure it's a lot.
EDIT
A US gallon is about 4 litres, and £1 is about $1.78. This makes fuel here approximately $7 per US gallon.

Holy (Please refrain from swearing). I thought we paid a lot of tax over here. The most expensive I've seen over here is $1.55 per litre, which is around £0.65

EDIT: Oops, that was $1.55 per 1.25L, which turns out to be $1.24/litre which is kinda cheap. I've seen it around $1.35/litre

ALSO EDIT:
According to Google,
1 (British pound per litre) = 6.75771715 U.S. dollars per US gallon.
Over here, $1.35 per litre = 3.88229942 U.S. dollars per US gallon

hey stalky, you know that -supposed- fuel crisis we had in the uk the other week?

well my friend had to go to poole of all places for a works visit. said he saw a petrol station that was rammed and advertising at £1.40 a litre.

now THAT is absolute madness, near me its about 96.9p. but £1.40 per litre works out at:
4.6 litres per gallon -> = £6.44 per gallon
@$1.6 per £ -> $10.34
eat that whinge pie! sheesh i'd kill for $5 a gallon....

I'm just lucky my 10 year old car does about 37mpg , still i get through about £30 a week.....

that said we should all make our own biodeasel, i heard you need a converter and some generic used vegetable oil -> about 40p per litre after tax.... lol the tax is 29p!
