Hahaha, Rambo, we tried the same thing before and all that came of it was that Paramud, aznbl00d, and HHH denied the fact that they were the ones who didn't belong and began to flame eachother instead of getting the point.

What you need to realize is that it only takes one person to respond to their stupid posts to make them think that they're wanted here (or that they can leech the forums of all the attention that they need) and that a boycott of responses to them does nothing.

I think I've got the best method for keeping them in check and it's worked so far: just ignore the stupid posts, but not all of them; correct them when they need to be corrected; and if, by pure chance, they make a normal post, respond to it like you would anyone else. That doesn't just go for the so-called "12-year old spammers," I use it all the time regardless of who it is (with a few exceptions, I know).

If you do that, you're not only shunning people's idiotic posts, but you're encouraging them to be someone that isn't so annoying.

Aye, that would work too. I think that is most likely the best way to deal with them.

Although it would be beneficial to jebushunter to know these things: I'm not trying to insult you jebushunter, but your lack of maturity and grammar really gives you a bad name. Try to use capitals at the beginning of every sentence, use punctuation, and make an effort to spell properly. You'll get all the more respect for it. And you won't seem like a 12-year old child.

If jebushunter seemed like a 12 year old child, then I would be grateful. Right now it seems as though he's still in his womb kicking the keyboard through his mother's stomach. Even if you seemed like a 7 year old child I would be grateful, just follow UGK's example.

Well, when we get to the topic of posting things that contribute, there's nothing to really contribute to ... Rarely do interesting threads get created. The Fan Art and Movies forum is dying; the Bash Pit is just full of crap that came of the nothingness in peoples' heads; and the Lounge is never very interesting anymore, except for (like I said before) the interesting threads that are created rarely. If we didn't have people posting pure stupidity, these forums would be home to tumbleweeds.

I'm not disagreeing with anything said here. Just trying to look at the story from another perspective.

Modding forum is dying. I expected a boom of weapon mods since the release of 1.3, some high quality ones mixed in throughout. But, it seems that the update has caused modding to be even MORE unpopular than it already was. Perhaps Polyworks is drawing more people to mapping with it's sheer sexiness, but that can't be the WHOLE reason.
