Im trying to get a close up picture of how my Soldat (my charecter)looks while not being in action any idea how I can do this?

Hmm, not what I had in mind, that just previews your guy when your modifying his look. Im looking for a way to create like an actual profile of my guy so it could be used as say an avatar or just to have as a jpeg, any other ideas?

Well I know a simple way, get a screenshot and resize the soldier bigger. That's it.

Take a screenshot of a soldat with a white background and a white texture for the map's polygons and white edges for the polygon. If you want make sure he's unarmed. If you want it bigger magnify the screenshot and take another screenshot of the magnified version. Then cut away all the excess pixels, and use The GIMP, Photoshop, etc. to render white space transparent.

Do you have a map with a white texture, backround, and white polys?

You could just take a picture of him by jetting up and freefalling for a while. Then you can edit the picture with MS paint, and voila, you're done.

Thats what I did with my first avatar and it worked pretty well. Go to paint and do "Stretch skew" to 200 in both boxes

i used the gimp to do my avatar, i croped it and scaled the image, i hope that helps,
(gimp is awsome)
