Yessiree, i finally finished my first polyworks map.

I found polyworks to be extremely easy to use (after my brief learning stretch). The only annoying thing i found was that i had to keep retyping my texture dimensions evey time i loaded the map. Otherwise, i am very happy with my results. Keep up the great work, Anna!

Tell me if there are bugs, or improvements i can make. Also, i am in need of a waypointer.

Feel free to host this map on your server!

Overview

EDIT: Removed the HTF download, until i can meake it better and fairerer.

EDIT2: Thanks to mar77a, it is now waypointed.

Get the map here (waypointed!)

Sceneries/Village texture download

Finally, the download link works.

Finally someone who has used mutitexturing to make a map look good! Others seem to have used it as a "feature" of their maps even though it adds nothing to looks.

The underground water also looks good, and the wells are very cool. The shading on the terrain in the 'Village' and the underground tunnel is very well done, and the poly placement lends itself to good gameplay and shading.

Havn't actually played this online but ive run around a bit and the fact that you can fall down the wells and not boost up I think promises to provide interesting gameplay. My only gripe is that it is pretty big, and you might be seperated from other soldat's to kill for a while. :0

cool / 10 from hellsync ;)

Actually, that was my other problem i had with polyworks :O

It's harder to tell if you're making your polygons large enough, since you can zoom in and out so much. Originally, some parts of this amp were meant to be larger. Take, for instance, the rocky ruins between the top windmill, and the left house. The lower route was meant to be larger so you could fit. xD

Then, i realized there's a handy utility that places a fake soldier on your map so you can compare relative sizes. Another promising feature that Anna added :)

Thanks for the comments.

beautiful... haven't downloaded yet, but the windmill looks fantanstic!

9.5/10

once i download it, i'll give it a 10/10.

by the way, the wells have ice polygons in them, right?

Wow, I like the windmills a lot. The run down destroyed look is very appealing, and the textures flow nicely into each other. The water just seem a bit unnatural to me. Other than that, great map.

Awsome map, eh, you wouldn't want to make a CTF version would you? :O

Wow, first "good" multitextured map. It utilizes multitextures instead of abusing them.
It looks great to play on, too.

This map wouldn't work as CTF... Just play a match on it and you'll see there isn't an evenness to the routes.

And i made the wells 100% climbproof. They have icy walls, and no footholds.

Excellent. Another fantastic production from anna's wonderful polyworks. I love the theme to this, great windmills. :x

When you said that I'd piss myself when I see your map, I thought you were just kidding.

But you weren't. It sure looks like you took the maximum out of the multi-texturing option, the structures look neat. Ima dl-ing this right-a-way, and I'll edit my post for further feedback about gameplay ;)

EDIT: Gameplay should be jolly good with around 6 players. My only concern is that the sewage area is one way out, so people can get trapped in there.

Gj idea wrom rambo movie ?

Rambo_6

Erm, no the idea was to make a 'destroyed european village' type map... It evolved from there.

The sewage area was intended to create tension since there's only one direction in it. I think it'll prove to be very interesting.

no wonder the village is empty. they've dug their wells into their sewage ducts :P

I believe the company with which Mar77a has a site burned down, thus his waypointing site is gone for the time being.
