sit upside down, reinstall codecs, downgrade winamp, try all 3.

How about a little more info? Do you mean ALL .AVIs, only a few or ALL videos?
What happens if you play them with Windows Media Player?

all the .avi's ive downloaded play upside down. only .avi's. ill check wmp...yup, they work fine in wimp. guess ill have to associate them with that feggin proggy :(

As far as I know Winamp uses the same codecs that WMP uses, which is the stuff registered in windows..

Try VLC. It's free and it comes with its own codecs: you don't have to install anything, just play your videos and have fun.
