Well, I'm headed to Alaska. I ship out tomorrow to spend a week of leave with my family in Missouri, and then to Alaska by plane.
Hopefully, you'll be seeing me on Soldat in a week or two.
It'll be awesome. I'll see you guys on the flipside.

I believe Alaska connects Europe with America.. but I'm not sure. The Geologist is teh man in cases like this :)

I think it's mostly for arctic training, cheap land, tactical terrian, ect.

Actually, I am issued the KA-BAR. It's our bayonet: M16-M4 and such come with the mounts. I did a good bit of bayonet training. Here's what it looked like.

By dropping/postponing SF, they put me in "Needs of the Army", which is wherever they need a body. Fortunately, since I have airborne wings, they send me to the new Airborne infantry unit in alaska, which is the next best thing.
