I've tried to make a few mods in the past, but they've never turned out that great just because I really don't know how to approach the process.

So I've come up with this idea: I want to co-mod a mod with someone. Somone that has made a good mod or two in the past and would like to make another using my ideas.

1) Tactical Vest (black), shorts (black), 8-point cover (black)

2) Microphone/head-set (replaces Mr. T hair style)

I have a few more ideas coming. I'll edit when I think of them.

I actually haven't released any major mods yet but I've made two or three one-weapon mods and am working on the here is my latest mod release. If you want weapons-gfx to be big and easily defined on the battlefield all I need is an interface sprite. I can tackle sounds.

What I've tried to do in the past is make a large document (in Photoshop 7, let's say about 500 by 200), draw my gun, then shrink it down. It ends up becomeing distorted and pixilated and just crappy. I have also tried making the gun at a smaller size.. say 25 by 11, but that comes out horrible as well.

Any suggestions?

Meh.. I'm not too concered with the Interface menu right now. I did some in-game mods for the MP5, AK, Steyr, M79 and Minimi today but they came out too big. (I forgot I wasn't in 800x600), so I have to shrink them all. I'll show you when I'm done.

find a pic of your gun on the intarweb. then shrink those and outline them.

since an RPG is self propelled, i don't think it's appropriate as an N79 unless you mod weapons.ini

uhh, ville, can you lay off him? hes a relative newb here, so stop with the flaming. plus there's nothing wrong with modern weapons, soldat's default weapons are "modern weapons"

There is many things wrong about modern weapon mods. One of the reasons being that everything in that 'genre' has been done many times before and it's pretty much impossible to create anything that doesn't look like a copy of 50 other mods.

Also, that wasn't exactly flaming. I am just trying to increase the chances of someone making something original and new.

Don't worry, I have exactly a work-in-progress to satisfy that ;-)

Ville Mk.2, the solution is simple: don't download my mod. I promise that I'm not making the mod to force it upon you or anyone else, so feel free to ignore it when and if it is released.
