Have you ever read the book Dune?

Well I was thinking, the part where Paul and his Mother just lose the 'thopter, and are stuck in the rocks. Then they travel the few kilometers across the open desert into another cliff-face.

Well I was just thinking, couldn't the two cliff-faces, and the open desert, full of marching dunes, be a great battle field?

Someone with some actual skill in mapping should try this; I think it could make for some interesting gameplay.

Maybe have some of the ground hurting poly's to influence the beating of the harsh climate on Arakiss?
