First off I would like to thank everyone in soldat community for not flaming me too much. I appreciate it and I sort of feel like I'm catching some kind of interest. I'm more interested now in telling you of a great deal, rather than try to get you to sign up for me.
Also thanks to any mods for not locking the topic. Not sure if this is against the rules or not.

Forum Craze:

Search for others, they are all over the place. Notice all the people who have recieved expensive items.

FREE iPod site here and it's NOT A SCAM, so read below. It's well worth the time! Trust me...
All that you need to do is click on the link below and follow my steps.
Please Use My Referal if you sign up: I g0t 5!

If you really don't believe me, I have included various web pages, videos, and news articles saying that this is 100% genuine. If you still don't believe me after reading that then just follow my 4 steps which will guide you through the whole process until you get the free iPod. I thought it was a scam at first like a lot of my friends too but they have received ipods.

STEP 1

Click here: I g0t 5! You should then be at the giveaway site for your chosen iPOD. Just enter your email address, password, and required information to sign up. Agree to the terms and conditions for both party's safety.

STEP 2

To be eligible for your free ipod you must complete one of the offers presented to you right after you sign up. The dvd rental service or any free trial service is the best one to do, they are in what's called "Complete Offer."

Complete an offer, click here for the best rated offers: http://www.ratetheoffers.com/ratings.php

STEP 3

Then you need to refer people to sign up in order to receive your iPod. Any of these iPod models that you can choose from (4gb nano iPod, 6gb mini iPod, 30gb video ipod, or $250 iTunes gift certificate) require only 5 referals. To obtain these referrals quickly and easily, you can set up a page like this one or you can email friends with your referral code (URL link) which they will provide you after you sign up.

STEP 4

When you have all 5 of your referrals in (by the way, you can also check on the status of how many referals you have already on their website as well), just sit back and wait for your freebie to be sent to you with FREE postage as well, this will take around a week after you have hit your referrals target. Then if you want another, do it again.... on several other sites such as freexbox360.freepay.com etc...

Here's the link again...

I g0t 5!
...by the way, you're welcome!

Universities? :P
I'm doing some experiments right now but not getting payed since I need them for some extra marks xD But otherwise I would be getting payed a bit. They are usually fun as well. Try looking in a universities newspaper or something like that in the classifieds and you can find some.
At my school in the building where they do them they have bulletins where you can sign up for some :)

Well you might say it's a scam. Because the people behind it earn a [CENSORED]load of money from it. But i don't question the promises they make, I have to say I'm tempted. I just don't know if i can be arsed to make other people sign up aswell..

Uh, it would've been smart if you were one of the first to partecipate. It's been almost a year since it was started, so now pretty much anyone who wanted a free something has already got his referrals, and if you are one of those who didn't, you're one of the many dead ends of the pyramid.

http://forum.freeipodguide.com/ look here at some of the people who have recieved items. It does work. Its becoming pretty big.

Another question....since everyone seems to use ipods as an excuse. What If I asked you guys to do free xbox 360. Would u sign up then...i would need 8 people instead of 5. Hmm?

No its becoming pretty old and annoying I didn't realise people were still trying it, once everybody has an ipod it just dosnt work ;)

Anyways looking on a forum for people with credit cards to sign up for something is a dumb idea ;)

hey as long as it isnt getting deleted, im going to still try. I think ive got just enough offers for a free ipod. Plus each site is unique...a lot of people have gotten free ipods...but not too many people have done freexbox360

The Geologist
October 17, 2005, 5:18 am
So, wait...have you gotten an iPod, or not?

For every person actually getting the iPod, how many others get the shaft? How many people pledge a dollar or give up their emails to get spammed or ripped off?

Vijchtidoodah
October 17, 2005, 5:45 am
It's really not a scam (just look closely, there were some advertising PSP ripoffs called POPs).

You do get an iPod and they get their end of the deal by selling your personal information. Six people's worth of information is worth a lot of money to many companies.

The only problem now, as Cookie pointed out, is that it's a pyramid scheme...someone has to get the shaft at then end as everyone else who wanted an iPod already got one.

Edit: I've seen proof after proof that it's a real deal, but who knows how many phishing sites have been set up since then. No matter how good a deal it sounds, I would never give my credit card information to anyone that I didn't trust.

Yes, some of them are scams. But offers such as blockbuster and real I personally can trust. Gratis network has been all over tv and over the news. It is hard for those who dont know. Take me as example, I think i finally got enough referals for my freeipod...they just need to be confirmed. If i didnt make some extra posts on forums i would have never gotten anything, and they would have kept my 21$ that i spent on an offer.Just look at places such as http://forum.freeipodguide.com/ and look at all the success stories...

Soulsnipa, you just said in your first post, it was free, then in one of the following posts you said that it was a small cost, now it's $21, which in Australia is approx. $40. Call me stingy or whatever, but I think that's quite a bit to pay for a 'free' ipod.

Nope my status is....

2 Completed offers
1 offer pending...awaiting approval.
2 people promised they would do it in the upcoming weeks.

Also from posting on the forums I have 3 random people I dont know who signed up. So perhaps they signed up for an offer.

So give me around 2 weeks or so, I shall have it all approved. Then I go through the shipping process which will take around a week to a month I think. Not too sure about this. But once I get it, ill be sure to let you know and show you how it was well worth it :)

The good news is...once you do it once you can do it again. And help each other out and get more items.

Shuffles-3 refs
Nanos-5 refs
60gb photoipod-8 refs
Xbox 360-8 refs
Handbags-10 refs

etc etc.

Also let me include that I have experienced so intolerable spam in my yahoo account. Anything that is spam is sent into the bulk folder and can be emptied but I'm pretty sure none of it is from gratis. I know this because my name is 'M' which is what I used to sign up for some stupid thing a while back on like iwon.com or something.

Technically it is a free ipod. The offers now I never said were free. See tricky...

But on a real note: Ipods are what? 300USD?

Ok when i first signed up the person i did it for told me to do an audiobook site. He said I could cancel it before I got charged, but he was wrong. I know better now, that is why im informing you the best way to do it. There are offers which you can get away with for only spending less than 5$.

The one that 2 of my future referals are waiting for as i noted above are for real rhapsody. 5 song downloads for less than 3$...might even be 1$. That is very cheap and is from the company REAL. Im positive they can be trusted, plus its cheap. Even for me, 5$ is not a lot of money, and I'm currently unemployed. If you bought only specials for a month at ur local grocery store you could easily save 5$. See my way of thinking?

Heck. For you people that go to blockbuster, there is an offer for 9.99$ for ulimited movies for a month (3 at a time). Plus you get 2 in-store game/dvd rentals. I just went to blockbuster and paid 6.36$ for one game. It's technically 2 deals for one, and i know i can trust blockbuster. Thats the way I see it. I'm not trying to trick you guys, I dont even care if you sign up for my referal anymore, I just want to show you guys whats out there. There are people getting tons of free stuff, and to me it looks legit.

I'm a man who likes his music and I dont care what kind of mp3 player it is, even if apple sucks try to find me one for under 5$, let alone 50$.

Yea sorry I feel like an idiot now. I just read over what I first posted. That was from an ebay auction where a guy tried getting people to click his own link. It made me want to try to get people mysef. Well so i copied and posted on several different forums without reading totally. I just now edited it to make it true. You are right I haven't recieved an ipod yet, but I have high hopes. There are way too many success stories for it to be false, 99.9% sure ill get my ipod.

"Technically it is a free ipod"
Technically its not, and your actually making the company Gratis much more money than they are going to have to spend on an IPOD... Just go get a job soulsnipa, you will get your ipod in a couple weeks, not the several months you obviously have spent trying to get it >.<

Soulsnipa
October 18, 2005, 7:59 am
Actually I had a job, got a nice chunk of money. But I need it for more important things like food and other needs. It may take months but maybe if you guys cooperated it could take maybe a week. Yea..idono where you work but going to school and getting over 10 dollars an hour is kind of hard in order to get an ipod in a week.

Ok sorry, technically its a EXTREMELY cheap ipod. Happy now?

http://forum.freeipodguide.com/ look here at some of the people who have recieved items. It does work. Its becoming pretty big.

Another question....since everyone seems to use ipods as an excuse. What If I asked you guys to do free xbox 360. Would u sign up then...i would need 8 people instead of 5. Hmm?

The top link is my site, and yes it works, and yes I have recieved an Ipod, and yes I took 50 hours to make that site.

it freakin works, just to put to rest all of you people who say it doesn't, I am here to prove it.

I have gotten the old 20gb ipod back about a year ago, and now I want the 60gb video, so I made this site.

Thnx everyone

One more thing, I don't use this forum, never had, probably never will, I am posting in this guys defense.

Couple of things

1 I have never once recieved any spam from this, ever.

2 There are free offers, not all of them require a dollar, AOL, Stamps.com, Efax, there are others too.

3 As I said, I have gotten a free ipod, it is real, does it take some effort, and work? Sure, what doesn't?

Gratis (Now Freepay) and other companies like this get 40-60 dollars everytime a person completes an offer, if you add that up thats $320-$480 for 8 refferals. It covers the cost of the Ipod, but if someone gives up, or never gets his refferal, the company pockets the money. Or like me, on my last one I got around 20 refferals, all I needed was 5. They made a boatload of cash.

Thnx again

Oh wow...someone who helps run said scam just happens to pop up here to tell us it works with no strings attached. That's credible. Of course you'd have nothing to gain from it either. And you offer so much proof as well. "I'm here to prove it, so like..believe me". Yeah..you've totally changed my mind.

I might think differently if Soul actually gets an iPod sometime in the next few years. I do know it's not worth giving out any important information just because you want cheap crap.

WTF? I don't run a pop up, I started my own personal site that I show to my friends, this guy found the link on a forum. Know what your talking about buddy before you start acting like a fool. I am just a normal guy trying to get free stuff just like everyone else. You really can't say its a scam until you try it, just like you can't say it works until you try it.

I dont gain anything from you looking at my site, the only thing I gain is a freakin ipod if you sign up.

You don't believe me just because I said it work , well I don't believe you because you say it doesn't work, its circular reasoning. Until you can have as much proof (testamonials, links) that we have that we have (including the fact I have an ipod sitting right here on my desk) then shut up, you can try it if you want, or dont, I really could care less what you do. I am just here defending this guy.

The Geologist

Why did you post that three times? It doesn't help your point to repeat yourself.

There have been plenty of other scams like this...matrix/pyramid scams with E-bay and other sites. I'll say what I've been saying...it's not worth giving up your personal info to unknown companies. For you getting one iPod, after a significant waste of time mind you, how many other people get the shaft?

Sure, you say you don't get spam, you got an iPod. But there are plenty of other people who get scewed and get spammed. The company basically make you their [CENSORED] with the right to change the rules whenever they see fit. That sounds prefectly legit.

You want links? Here:
http://www.wired.com/news/mac/0,2125,65042,00.html?tw=wn_story_related
http://sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2005/03/18/BUGURBP6N353.DTL
http://www.macobserver.com/article/2004/09/23.5.shtml

Nothing much...just a quick search about Gratis, I don't have time to sit here and research atm, and there were plenty more than that. Complaints with the Better Business Bureau, the people who run the company say they don't hand out your into to third party companies but they admit that "some customers recieve small numbers of messages from select parties", a.k.a. spam. Alegations of items being changed without notice, to where "winners" didn't even get an Apple iPod, but some Hewlett Packard product. It seems like the only people who knows those with a "free" iPod are those who know people running sites and dragging other people into it. No free lunches son.

Edit: This sums up my mindset quite nicely.

Wow... I don't know why it posted three times... my bad.

I am not here to get people to sign up, but at the time I got mine, I didn't have a job, and the money I was getting in (although very little) was going to things like food. So for me, it was great. Now I still don't want to spend the $400+ that it takes to buy one, if I had the extra money just laying around, I would do it.

I am glad that you found some links, and they do show problems with some of the stuff, but what I failed to mention was, they have a disclamer, and a survey that you must fill out. If you answer no to all of the questions then there is no spam. You can also opt out of the emails. I did, and I haven't recived any spam.

Who gets the shaft? um... I don't know, I signed up under someone, who got an Ipod, I got an Ipod, and I have friends that signed up under me get an Ipod. This thing ,although it sounds like a pyramid, it isn't. In a pyramid scheme, when you sign up someone, then they sign up some one, both of those "tiers" help you, the more "tiers" or levels of people, the more revenue that you make. In this, only the first level, or the people that you personally sign up. It is easily confused with a pyramid, but trust me, it isn't.

Most of the people that get screwed are screwed because they sign up with companies that are [CENSORED] up's. Freepay, Offer Centric, and a select others are ok to use, most other will screw you over.

This site http://www.freebieauthority.com/ shows which sites are good, they even have reviews for the offers and such.

Believe what you will, just don't bash this guy, or me for that matter, saying that it doesn't work, when in reality it does. If you want to test it you can, if not, then stop. Thnx guys,

BTW, what do you think of my site, from the stand point of looks, I don't care what you think of the ipod thing, just, how does it look to you?

The Geologist
October 20, 2005, 9:38 pm
Love the colors and that flash on the first page...I find the layout pretty easy to go through and it's nice and organized. No wide open, blank spots (which I hate)...so I give the site a thumbs up.

And I don't mean to bash Soul, or you...he's a good guy, and you're level heade enough to actually argue your point which I can respect. Just don't want him or others getting into something that they might regret down the road. If there's really a legit way to go through this without getting spam/info sold to companies or anything else, then by all means...more power to ya.

"Ok sorry, technically its a EXTREMELY cheap ipod. Happy now?"
Technically its an extremely expensive ipod. Since you are doing all of Gratis's work and they get payed for it and even after they give you the IPOD they still make quite a large profit

BManx2000
October 21, 2005, 2:23 am
They don't actually make a profit by giving out ipods for just 5 referrals. They make a profit by giving out ipods to the lucky few who actually get 5 referrals, while those who fail get raped by the wide end of the pyramid.

Hey Gologist, thnx for the comments about the site, and Ya, I am used to debating... many more skeptics then there are believers. But that is part of the fun.

You other people, seriously, be cool about not agreeing with me/ Soul. Just because you don't agree doesn't mean that you bash us. Example, I don't agree with [CENSORED]s, that doesn't mean I hate them/ bash the guys I work with, they are great guys/gals. I just don't agree with the stuff they do.
