ok this is an idea for a map, i made a rough map using mapmaker of whats it could look like. either tell me what you think and if you like it, you can take it and fix it up (or i can too)

why don't you make a overview of everything?.. its easier to evaliuate.

Shade the columns of the structures to give them some depth. Kinda helps to shade if you use more than one color on the sand. Also, water is never that blue..experiment with different colors to give it some variety. Finally, the map is much, much too flat and boring..are you planning on adding anything else?

Good idea..but its way too easy! no scenery,shading and its really small..i could make that in 1 minute :O

i did make it in 1 minute :P seeing that it was just an idea, i made a quick map and put it in the froums for people to expand on it....i will work on it seing as people say its a good idea...

any color with a 4:5:6 r:g:b ratio is good.

examples:
128,160,192
64,80,96

and, even though it's against my nature to use color values not divisible by 8, (168,210,252) is another good example because it follows the ratio.

Make a triangle with different colors on each corner. You keep making these maps that are just continuous, blocky colors with no distinction. Put some contrast in there, learn to actually use the map maker and all the options within for color and the blending of those colors. Polyworks has excellent tools for coloring your polys very easily..

Edit: Those numbers apply to different R:G:B values for the map maker pallet.
