I want to organise some kind of contest to one of my servers. The winner will get a free registration key payed by me. However I can't think of a way on how to do it so it's fair and actually awards the best player. You have any ideas on how to do it ?

Maybe try something with survival mode on, and deathmatch?

Survival mode definitely doesn't find the "best" player.

Realistic could be good. And it definatley has to be deathmatch, pointmatch or rambomatch. Otherwise, with these team games, it looses the whole point.

Have a small realistic ctf cup perhaps? That'd spice up the rm community :)

Realistic will be for sure. I only run my servers in real mod :)

well uhh, um... you could... uhh, oh you could... nah. hmmmmmmmmmmm. you could try having 1-1 tornaments and each round the loser leaves and a new competator comes.

Reset the stats in your server. That they, the comp begins. The first one to reach, lets say, 1000 kills, gets the key.

than some guy with no life will just spawnkill 1000 times :/ unless you ban them :)

a tourney would be pretty cool. Maybe set up teams of 4 and the winning team would play 1v1's against themselves for the title

You could do teammatch brackets.

it's not that hard.

4 games of a different 4 people each. the winner of each goes against the three other winners. the winners fight, then the person who comes out on top is champion. is that right zamorak?

You have a point here Dezonus. Teamatch maybe shows if a player is good in teamwork, in tactics etc... but in the end the price should go to the one who kills more and stay alive also more :)

Now you've lost the whole point. That would be as good as a 4 player deathmatch. 1 person per team isn't really a teamatch.

how about the 1st place team has a dm to find the best player???
