I've been working on a Soldat WebRing add-on for the forums, should be good to get more traffic to your Soldat site.

I need a couple of folks with Soldat sites (clans, fan sites etc) to test it out before I release it to all.
Head over to the WebRing hub, sign up and drop the WebRing NavBar code onto your site.

Let me know of any problems you hit upon, either in this thead.

any soldat webmaster out there wanna help with the testing of the above?

that's the default WebRing NavBar, it's designed to use the web page's Font and background colour.
If you're keen to have another one, put something together and PM it to be, if it's good I'll add it as an alternative NavBar

erm...how else do people get from your site to others in the webring...kinda mean if you are hapy to get hits from other web sites without giving other hit back in return.

Can i change where the wringhub option at? cause it kinda unfair if u click on the enter image, u cannot go back to select preview or next to go to the other sites. Sorry to mess thing up...[:-banghead]

Do you mean that you want the web site to appear in a new window rather than in the same window as the original one?

Another thing Styx, can i change the look of the border or not? if you visit the page it doesn't quite fit with the overall design.

What i mean is, i wanna put the option on the homepage of my website not on the enter.html of my website.

you talking about the site in your sig? It doesn't look too bad....I can't really colour it too much at the moment as I'm trying to keep the NavBar as neutral as possible so it suits as many sites as possible (saying that I'll see what I can do)

I will have a range of NavBars available (once I make them).

ada89: ahh right, understand. The reason why it's going to enter.html is 'cos that's the URL you entered when you signed up. I'll change it for you now.

if enter.html is not a visable web page on your site you will need to move it

I change my mind, i will add a link like "to ring hub option" and it will be at enter.html and i want the ringhub link to my site is enter.html (default). I am really sorry to mess thing up.

ok, I've hacked the NavBar code to display all the text in the default font setting for the web site it's displaying on. Does that look any better?

how do you set your default font on the page...whats the code?

should do the trick, or put the javascript in a table that you can set the background colour etc.

Edit: the face & size are forced in the NavBar, so you will prob only be able to edit the colour, which is what I was talking about to start with, soz.

I've also changed the NavBar font to use the Soldat font. Makes it a wee bit bigger :(

How exactly to you change the font color, im still confused, I'm still working hard on my Soldat World site and I need help because it appears black and you can't see the Soldat Web Ring words which goes black like my background. Check it out here, http://www.crosswinds.net/~soldatworld

put the ring code in a table with whatever colour background that will make it visable and suit for your site.

Ok this stinks, now even the linkspage on the Soldat official site is screwed, what I get when I want to click it is:

It was the only refer left to my site and now that page is gone, my website gets no visitors anymore at all... :'(

dont use frip F**king crak the server goes down all the time ( had a page ther long time ago)

THis webring is dead for a lo0ng time , i created a new one , with the same purpose but then skinnable and faster with more features etc; see this topic : http://www.soldatforums.com/topic.asp?topic_id=22193 for signups and more info.

It will be implemented into SOldatPage soon , but just keep checking that topic for news ;)
