Anyhow, I was watching this old episode of luis and clark.
Not really that intertaining (since I already watched them all 10 years ago) but then just when I was about to give up and change the channel.
I see a headline "Superman nabs terrorists"
I nearly cracked my ass falling on the floor (no, not really).
Then I figured "hey.. wait a minute, nab is actualy a word"
I never realized it, but nab is actualy a word... like duh..

Now I remember when I first started playing soldat (my first online game for real).
Then it was newbie, much more effective if u ask me, since it doesnt have the same offensive manner of a n00b.

Then someone (I wish I knew who) decided to be inventive, and turned it into the n00b we all know.

Another attempt to gain fame by some imbaciles turned it into a "nab"
If you ask me it was probably some kid who heard n00b from a friend and misspelled it as nab.

Recently I even saw an imbacile saying "nib".

I personaly don't like it, I prefer the good old newbie, but then again no one will ever understand what I mean, so I am forced to use n00b.
Which for me means: someone who still have much to learn about a certin subject.

Which is why ppl are surprised why am I calling them n00bs if they have the best score.
I find it amuzing to hear how some kid start bragging about his skills after I called him a n00b for something that has nothing to do with playing Soldat.

But that's not the point, the main idea is.
Nab is a real word, stick to n00b you n00bs...

I refused to use the word "n00b" untill a year ago and a half ago.
When I realized most kids don't even know what newbie means.
I see alot of idiots who missuse some slang they copied.
One of them is the most common "You are LOL", which I see used mostly by polish players.
Maybe it makes sense in polish, who knows.

I never use those.. n00b, Nab, lol and all.. and this is excactly why! People start using these short-for-something's so much, that in time they don't even know what it stands for. They just use it as if it was a regular word, and that irritates me!
I'm from denmark, and here we have a letter, different from others "ø"(don't know if it'll display).. anyway, it's like an "O" with a "/" through it. it is vokalized like sir, and is the danish solution to "oe". and all nerds in denmark are running around like, OMG, you are so LOL, you N(oe)B! i can't believe it!

I've heard newbie, newa, nab, nib, beginner, newcommer, rookie, novice, recruit but most people just say noob. Most of the time the person they are saying it to is not new. So why doesn't everyone just shut up about it. Everyone's gotta start somewhere
