i hope this is legal, but i would like to see what you think is the ideal weapon balance for 1.3. open your weapons.in, mod then post the result here. this way we can try out each others mods first hand.

this is what i am working on currently. it's based off of 1.2.1 but that is by no means a criteria for this thread. one of the changes i have made has been to increase the damage of the m79 to cut down on those cheap point-blank one shot kills. if you fire ti too close you will get hurt by your own m79 round. the reload time has been increased by a small amout too. the spaz has been beefed up a bit putting it up there with the deagles and mp5 for close range damage. a warm up delay of 15 has been added to the barret but the fire interval has been decreased to make up for it. i see a lot less barret camping now and it is a lot less n00b friendly. still, a skilled barret user will like the shorter shot interval one they adjust to the delay, i think. other than that there have been just minor tweaks done to most of the other weapons. there is no firing delay with the law, however the fire interval has been increased. i'm open for suggestions but i want to see your stuff too.

jelly - very nice. the 2 shot kill barret is a pretty cool idea. i may barrow it for my mod. the mini seemed a tad weak though. too much blink or too slow a ROF, or both. i kinda like the idea of an AK with slower speed but greater bullet damage. that way it's at parity with the minimi but still shoots differently. AK's don't have a whole lot of range but they do fire a pretty big round for an AR.

Maybe i'm just baisd, but shouldent the Minimi have more damage for that large bink? Or is it just a toned-down minigun :(

I didn't want to change ammo... but I may have to limit AK to 25 rounds....

But yeah, I like the two shot kill barret... it requires skill because of its uneven course (from the bink) and its a really good idea. Feel free to use it, besides, it's MY way of making Barret a respectable weapon (and also notice how minigun is actually not sprayish yet useful in a team combat situation)

the more i use the two shot barret the less i like it. actualy i like the 500 damage barret with a shorter shot interval and a delay time. i dsisagree on the mini. with the mini you have slow reload and nearly 0 mobility, you should at least be rewared with a high ROF or something to compensate.

is that sarcasm?:p i'm actually having problems with the barret. the n00bs leave it alone now that it has the delay, but once you master that delay it's quite the owning stick. i think i might lower the moveacc but raise the blink back up from 0 to 3 or so. the shot interval is still a tad too short. you're right on my aug being weak. i dunno what to do with it. i perefer the extreams of the minimi and AK, with one shooting a large round at slow speed and the other shooing a smaller round at a higher velocity. they are equal in "power" but shoot quite differently. the aug's kind of a compromise gun that i always thought of as n00bish, even in 1.2.1. once you found the AK or minimi you dropped the aug in a heartbeat. i'm not really sure what to do with the aug. :/
