OK i know that it isnt wonderful.i want to make an auto shotgun(spas17 or p jackhammer),but i am not a programmer,so i cant change fire rates,reload times etc.

You can't edit the game unless you hack it, but then Michal would be mad, and I wouldn't want that. Leave the game alone, and just change the graphics, but not so they affect gameplay, eg, Orange grenades.

YOu can edit it, it would just be RRRRREEEEEAAAALLLLL confuzin.....you gotta use NOTEPAD to open it, it looks like a bunch 'o gibberish tho....

DuoIngram if you use notepad the hex code turns into characters which would then be useless...u have to use hexedit..and you have to know what the bytes mean...to know that you would have had to study Assembler for Inter Processors.... and know how to program with low level languages... then you woul have to know how the compiler (mASM) interprets the assembler code... say --

Mov 4Fh,AX <--- assembler code
034F803B <--- code that the processor can understand

this is just an eample...but the 03 would mean MOV, 4f would be the data you are passing to the AX register 803B would be the physical address of the AX register....

using notepad would be futile..

you COULD dissasemble the exe file and try to backtrack the assembler code and *try* to figure out what does what.. maybe get SoftIce and run the soldat and try to see the assembler code running..... but you would have to know assembler for that... and Michal probably wouldnt like that either....

...so until Michal incorporates MOD making into soldat your stuck with editing the graphics..
