Well lets say you get hit in the leg with a knife. How about implementing something that effects the way you move and stuff.
Like if you got shot in the leg a few times, you run slower.
In the head a few times, your mouse speed gets slower.
Ect ect.
This of course, would be an option to turn on or off.

It sounds like a good idea, and may even work in realistic survival mode. For normal though, it would be incredibly frustrating.
But even still, yeah I'd prefer it to be an option for those modes too. It'd be interesting to play with I guess.

i can get 2 things out of this. as you get damaged you slow down heaps (thus having to change tactics) but once you die the cycle begins again. or a game mode where the above idea is implemented. but just if its just that idea i dont like it

Mancer I like the idea, but not for normal gaming. Maybe as a new gameplay thing or implement it into realistic a little bit.

there have been too many fruitless attempts to change specific damage in the game. besides, if this is client-based and lag caused your computer to think you've been shot while actually the bullet just missed you, don't you think it's weird that you start to limp awkwardly?

I'd like an x around the crosshair when you hit someone, like in BF2. Yeah, I've played that too much.

Is it possible to program soldat-response change with the area of hit being the variable? I thought this topic would just regard the general decrease of health in a soldat...

Well if headshots take more damage than torso, and torso takes more damagae than leg shots, them Im fairly certain that something like this can be created.
Also, I like the idea of this being a seperate gamemode/gamestyle.
