Stop the silent killer!

Alright guys...in the past few days it's become increasingly clear that we have a growing problem on our hands. I've told a few of my friends in town here, as well as friends and family, but now I feel I should pass the word on to you. This is a pretty urgent message on my part, and I hope you take the time to read through my post to get the true depth of what's going on here. We have a crisis on our hands and we need to take a stand. As a geologist, a profession which goes hand in hand with the environment and its health, this crisis concerns me very much and I hope some of you are of a maturity to share my concern.

I've considered some of the people around here to be pretty up to speed on current issues, so I can trust you've heard about recent dihydrogen monoxide scares? We've known about it for years now. In 1991 there were 4,100 Americans alone killed by dihydrogen monoxide, many under the age of ten. In 2000, there were 3,482 known deaths caused by it in America, meaning this silent killer claimed an average of nine people per day in my country and most likely many times more worldwide. And what's really suprising is it's all around you. It's in ALL of our polluted rivers, ponds, and even our oceans. Testing has found it at both the North and South poles. Even contaminated groundwater and acid rain have this deadly substance which continues to claim lives to this very day. It contributes to injuries due to falls as well as many more due to burns on a yearly basis and claims victims of any age, rage, or nationality. This killer knows no boundaries.

This is obviously a horrible situation that needs to be stopped today. Now, I don't often step out and take a stand like this, but you can help! I'm asking you to take a stand and join a petition myself and others are taking part in to gather support to fuel the movement to rid our planet of this silent killer once and for all. Even one life needlessly lost is too much, and I think everyone on here would agree with that. It doesn't take much. Just write your email in this topic and I'll send you a link to the petition. It's not a referal site :p, you can trust me on that one. Just click on a box, write in your name, and you're done. One more person taking a stand against a growing problem.

Thanks for your time.

Edit: Thanks guys, I knew I could count on this community.

No, I know what it is too.

People, I'm not usually serious, but this is a danger to the environment and our lives. We need to get rid of dihydrogen monoxide.
