Low FPS when kills are on screen...

Okay I am playing Soldat for quite a while now. I think my first version was 1.2 or something. Recently I tried the game again and found that I have those weird FPS drops whenever there are kills on my screens.
I've never had a problem with this games performance so I am at a loss whats wrong. (Since my hardware improved greately since the original version I used)

Okay here my PC specs:
AMD 64 +3000
1.5Gig RAM
160Gig 7200 SATA
Win XP PRO SP2
ATI x800 Pro
latest drivers (OMEGA for gfx)

Are there any known troubles with some stuff in my pc?
Like the DPE of the 64, or the omega drivers?
I tried different config settings for soldat but nothing seemed to help. So if you have any idea it would be greately apreciated.

Run 'config.exe', open the 'Performance' tab and disable 'File logging'.

what is your connection type/speed, and do you have windows firewall enabled?

I have xDSL 3mbit down 512 upload, which shouldn't matter at all since I am hosting the game.
The ping/lag during the game is normal, there is no ping but frames issue.
The windows firewall is disabled, I've got a router firewall running though. (Port 23073 is open)

That's called bullet-time.

//EDIT:
Apparently your post wasn't moderated yet when I tried to post mine , so you actually answered my questions before I posted them.

Damn lol DePhille it was bullet time. I've never used that before and somehow it was set on by default when I reinstalled it. Thanks a bunch!
