Hi, I am a total noob to sodat. I only play the game on occation with bots. I have recently had a problem with the Soldat mapmaker. I made the map, saved it, but I have no Idea how to play on the map. If this doesn't make any sense, please say so. I am really frustrated and any help would be eprcieated(SP?).

did u save it in ur maps folder with the correct name?

ie. ctf_yoopern
htf_yoopern
yoopern (deathmatch)

Did you press compile before you saved?
Did you save to the Soldat Maps directory?
Did you make spawn points?
Did you use default scenery?
if no did you use the correct folders for textures/scenery?

More:
Did you have soldat open whenever u saved the map? Try restarting soldat.
Did you load the correct map in the maps list before pressing start game?
Did you forget waypoints? since you play offline a lot then you will be the only one playing the map without waypoints.

I did all of that but save it in the directory and use the correct name. How do you save it in the sodat directory?

When you save it should open the window to save where u want.

You are going to want to save in

[Your Drive]=Default is C:
[Your Specific Location] Default is nothing (could be program files..etc)
[Your Soldat Folder's name]= Default is Soldat
[Maps Folder]=Maps

[Your Drive][Your Specific Location][Your Soldat Folder's name][Maps Folder]

So you are going to way to save to what is default as .....
C:\Soldat\Maps


other examples

C:\Soldat Game\Maps
C:\Soldat Modded\Maps
C:\Fungame\Maps
C:\Program files\Soldat\Maps
E:\Soldat\Soldat\Maps

c:/soldat/maps
