Summary for lazy pricks:
Microsoft + IBM and a few other companies are teaming up to create technology that will attempt to take away the rights of computer users (to prevent piracy).

It will fail horribly, because it will just be adapted for like all other forms of software/media protection by pirates. Microsoft and their partners should know better that there is no way to completely protect any data, software, etc. from being exploited, modified, or whatever to the user's purpose, be it legitly or illigitimately inclined. Short of never distributing the data in the first place, that is.

You're forgetting that Apple is moving to Intel processors. Intel is one of the main TCG members.

aznbl00d, GNU or whatever license isn't going to help you when the HARDWARE is locked. What good is Linux when you can't even RUN it on the hardware?
nfsjunkie, you can't just blame it all on Microsoft (as everyone really loves to usually)

Anyway, welcome to 3 years ago!
