EDIT: Problem Fixed. Turns out ports 10000-15000 were considered trojan ports, which the lobby uses port 13073, so I had to modify the APF rules. kk add the solution to a sticky or somthing.

Well, I just got a brand spanking new linux server running but ofcourse, a problem has arose.

The server starts, appears in lobby for about 2 minutes, then the console shows the "Registering server @ xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" messages again. Server is no longer in the lobby, hence no one joins.

This problem has been around for ages O.o, has anyone ever found a solution to it?

Yes, all the ports are open. no, there is no firewall enabled. Yes, I have tried it as root & normal user. Yes, all directories and files are CHMOD 777. No, /lobby command does NOT work. Yes, the server can communicate with the lobby.

im not sure, try contacting your ISP ;). You seriously think WE could help. lol, only person that could probably help somone like yourself is MM.

Im not hosting this on my home connection, its at the PIPE datacenter in brisbane.. I dont think they have an ISP xD

Yesterday everything was fine with my server, but now the server disappears from the lobby after couple of minutes. I'm pretty fed up clicking "Reload Settings" from Arsse all the time. Seems that others may have the same problem as there's only Leo's server online today.

I'm very sure that it's something in the Lobby's end -or then my ISP has gone berserk and blocks ports, even in weekends.

I know this bug too, when I start a server it says "Registering server @ xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" etc. When I start another Soldat and go to check the server from lobby it is there. Server name is example: "Test server" then when I look the map name, It's "Test server" too. And then after 1 minute or more server disappears but u can add it there again typing "/lobby" but the server disappears again after few minutes.
When It's so I prefer to restart the server so long that the map name is what it really is, example: "ctf_Laos" etc. I have noticed that when u start a server there should come at least 3 "Registering server @ xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" messages then the server shows in lobby.
And yes this bug has been for ages. I'm glad if I'm any help. I have been in ur server Esko and I have seen the map name as the server name.
btw sometimes when u just wait it might register the server to lobby so that it would work and not disappear.
