Suggestions :
*escalator polygons, if you step on it, it will move you like youre on ice, only 1-way and stop until you reach the edge.
*one-way walls, you can enter from left side, not right side or the other way around.
* Gravity zone: if you fly there or step there, you will experience higher or lower gravity, eg. bullets will fly down really fast or float in the air, so does the player
* Bullettime/matrix zone: Area, in case you fly/step/shoot in it, the bullets will slow down twice or 3 times than usual and so does the player.
*Woody polygons/walls: You have to shoot the woody polygon 3 times and it will be destroyed fully, 2 times it will be destroyed only from the middle part, 1 shot: the wooden wall will be slightly bruised, makes woody sound
*Metal polygons/walls: You have to shoot it 5 times so it would be destroyed and each hit it makes a metally sound
* Flaming polygons: if you step on the "flaming polygon which actually doesnt burn" you burst in flames, and does about 5% of damage to you every Second/60 ticks.
* Change to tank (wtf lol): you take a powerup and you change to an air-tank, the powerup lasts 30 seconds and you get your health doubled and an m79 with a shorter reload and faster speed. after the powerup rund out you get your "full" normal health back and your basic weapon which you had.(yes the tank flies)

Meh..destroyable walls/objects have been suggested, as have one way polys and changes to the gravity. Not a big fan of the bullet time option, and I definately don't like that change to tank + faster m79 option. We'd never hear the end of the complaints. I'd like to see flames as an addition to the lava poly though..

4 year old is right. Some of those things you suggested would be hard to code. But the ideas are cool

escalators is ok... not all that special esp. since soldat is a fast paced game and escalators are usually slower and if they were to be fast it's harder to coordinate them. one way wall has always been liked... kinda weird when ur actually in the wall... it should only be a line in soldat so that it doesn't look weird. the matrix zone sounds cool... shouldn't be all THAT hard to code... gravity zone is rather pointless - matrix zone would be fine in itself...
breakable polygons should have health rather than amounts of bullets (would it take 3 m79 shells to break down a door or 3 hk bullets? doens't sound balanced) - but the idea of breakable polygons is not good to begin with. they'll only last for the first minute or so - then it becomes useless... and regenerating ones are even worse as they're highly unrealistic and hard to code to act properly.
flaming polygon isn't what we need. we need fire/fire emitters (see other topic from long ago)
tank idea is just stupid......

yes and the rest are impossible.

esclator polys? more like conveyerbelt polys, it aint gonna happen.
one way walls suggested before + impossible to code
gravity zone suggested + impossible
bullettime zone (see gravity zone)
distructable polys (see all others)
burst into flames polys(two hour idea thread)
flying tank (retarded)
