First off, I'm very new to Soldat. I've tried it once or twice before back when I had dial-up with single player and loved it. But now I'm back with DSL for some multiplayer fun.

I just downloaded it and opened a singleplayer game for practice. When the game starts and shows me the weapon selection screen, it freezes up completely seconds later. Sometimes if I'm able to get by without freezing, the game will lag and periodically freeze for no reason at all. It's very frustrating and I have to restart my computer, becasue I get NO response. I have 120 megs of RAM and just updated my DirectX so it should work fine... but no.

Can someone please give me some suggestions? I already toned down the quality options in the game set up menu.

see what happens if you try to play in single player. my guess is that it won't lag or freeze up.
