I don't know if this has been suggested before...

The game starts, you choose a weapon. You get killed, you spawn with the last weap you used. You hit tab if you want to change your weap.

This has been suggested before. I don't know if I am right, but I have been under the impression that MM made weapon selection that way to diversify the weapons we use. It's not so different than from the BF2 weapon selection system.
