.ini for Real mod ?

Can you make me a weapons .ini, special for real mod ? I am willing to test it in one of my servers.

S'bout time we did isn't it.

Well it's up to Michal to 'implement' an actual ini file for real mode. Otherwise, theres nowt stopping people devising a more perfected real mode balance that can be used anyway.


You got a strong real-mode community in your hands Leo. Maybe you could steer 'em in the right direction towards deciding what to do with the balance and getting them here to discuss it.

First you need to establish just what the 'goal' is. Do you want to just tweak the current 1.3.1 balance to fit real mode? or do you want to make weapons as 'weak' as vanilla-mode but in real mode? Do you want to change a weapon completely? etc...

As I recon, your server uses a little mod of it's own. If the RM community is satisfied with that, maybe we can convince Michal to implement it into Soldat.

Im willing to make one, if your willing to try it, of course i'll have to reduce the speed and damage enourmously to make it, 'playable'... i should have it done in 30-40 minutes, maybe sooner

Sounds good to me. I'm not a big R/S fan only because fall damage. If there where other draws I might get more into it.

Thanks Drakor but I don't think reducing damage so much is the solution. I will have to talk with my regulars about what they would like to see as improvements at the weapons section.

The reason i reduced damage, is to fit the guns, if i were to give them realish damage, A.) You'd be dead in one or two shots from EVERY gun, B.)There wouldnt be a concern about meeting an enemy face to face, when you can kill him across the map.
Also, i gave the weapons realistic stats, how fitting for a realistic mode server ;)

NOTE: I playtested it, even with the really low low damage, you can kill anyone in a second or less if your aim is good.

Maybe but if, for example, I reduce the spas damage from current 135 damage to 62, everyone will vanish screaming and never come back :D

Teh spas can easily kill still... i killed a bot at pointblank, and it went on to almost kill another bot O.o


EDIT: if you think they would vanish, why not post on your fourms about an hour or so of testing a new weapon mod, seeing if ppl like it, if they vanish screaming or whatever, but if they DID vanish they'd be back in an hour 'or so' ;)

EDIT2: The damages' stats r only a 16th of what they should be, be glad i didnt use THOSE as the stats...

Damn, I just made a thread on this and thought I was really original. :P

For the record, I hate Leo's games because they're never RS and the M79 has lame start-up time... less bullet speed would be super-cool, because you ned to use your speed (run-jumping) to make 'em go farther. Uber skills. Now that I'm moving to mini, maybe I'll try some Leo servs and see what you've done to it. ^_^

more tactical and less spraying, eh leo? well ill be on in a second to see whats on your servers but...
why not increase the bink massively and the movement account even more so- now you have a need for teamwork. maybe faster bullets?...

but for MM- offscreen hits shouldnt do anything to the enemy... i think that would help kill spraying a lot.
