If you can remember, I made a map pack a while ago, this can be found here, [URL]

After taking some criticism and some tips on my mapping, I downloaded Polyworks and practised with it. Once I knew the basics I began on this map pack, I've made about 16 maps but some I didn't like because of gameplay, looks and waypointing issues. These are the four I decided on for this map pack, they are all waypointed, all have custom sceneries and all have been tested over and over.
I have information on each map, have tried to incorporate a story into each one and the download for the map pack (zip) will be at the end. Here they are:

ctf_Chasmbridge
story: Situated in the Ho Chi Minh Trail, Vietnam, the Vietnamese have begun work to build a bridge across a chasm that is in the way of their supply route. The American troops have knowledge of this and have been thrown into battle to prevent the bridge's construction.
Information: This is the map I have spent the most time on, more than any map I've ever made. The waypointing was difficult for me, being new to it, so it took a while to do. I made some custom sceneries (the vehicles were made from screenshots I took in Battlefield Vietnam as I had no internet connection), thanks to OutofOrder for letting me use his hut roof in my map as it gave it a Vietnam feel. Bots work pretty well (for my knowledge of waypointing) and I've patched bouncy edges (there are still a few).
You'll want a large number of people on this map because it's pretty big.

LiquidEnergy
Story:An underground factory is producing a new superweapon, that when used correctly, could be capable of destruction worse than anything we have ever seen. This factory has been located by enemy territories which are wanting to have this weapon in their own hands.
Information: This is a dark, smallish map which you'd want around 5 people on. I thought I'd try a theme I've never used in my maps for this and I'm very happy with the feel it has. Bonuses drop the energy beam in the middle, roll down the lower hill and into the pools of energy for a cool effect. Of course this is waypointed like all the others.

ctf_Nomansland2
Story: At the border of two countries, there is a fight for land. The troops are getting tired of the long trek and have been fighting for months (a dumb excuse for no jets).
Information: I decided to remake Nomansland from my last map pack, there is no change to the layout, it has just been given a facelift and two tiny ledges for each team. Waypoints are fine, same map, looks different.

ValleyBase
Story: Basically, this map is based on a base based at the base of a valley, it's pretty basic. There are some very important files located in the base and it is under constant attack from the enemy.
Information: This is the oldest map of the four, so it doesn't have that 3D effect I learnt from Anna's tutorial. I still find it fun and it still looks nice. If you don't like cramped gameplay you probably won't like this, although it is a bit more open in the hills.

Well, that's probably one of the biggest posts you've ever seen on these forums but once I start typing I can't stop. Oh well, if you like what you see then,

DOWNLOAD HERE: [URL]

Extract the zip into your Soldat folder.

So you know, I'm just finishing off another map pack that has crazy maps in it, one is a bit like Bloodbath.

Pretty damn nice. They get worse as you gow down the list though :P

What really amazes me is your progress, you've made improvements in leaps and bounds. The map at the top of this list is easily one of the better maps I've seen in a while. Good job, keep up the good work.

See what happens when you switch to Polyworks? =)

You've got the shading done quite nicely - except for Valleybase, that is. You've given LiquidEnergy a somewhat 3D feel with the shading, which I think is nice. =)

Nomansland2 seems good for R/S servers. That's really clever = adding a stat gun onto a tank so that it would look like it's an actual part of the tank.

Love 'em all. Keep using PW - you should obviously know why by now ;)

Rock on. /download.

Really nice maps. I love nomansland, perfect for RS battles. The buildings in Valleybase look a bit cramped. But still, great maps.

The last two are just okay but the first ones are beautiful.

Amazing!
You could have made some deadly polygons in LiquidEnergy, under the blue liquids. Strange yet original design in there. Nice work.
Valleybase looks pretty nice, but it's a bit too small... Also leaving the map unclosed on the left and right part gives a weird feeling, like if it was an unfinished map.
Chasmbridge is an excellent ctf map! I love the wooden support you used and the jungle theme fits perfectly the colours you used. Nothing to add there, brilliant map!
Nomansland2 looks purdy too, but as expected, it lacks alternative routes. Otherwise it's a good map for 2 on 2 I guess.
These maps are 100x better than your other maps, this is pretty good! And the screenshots are seducing too.
Good job, finally some interesting maps. :)

Hmmmmm doesn't seem one can resist the temptation of downloading this pack
I'll comment on your maps later on this post ;)

Edit:
Meh! A Quality Map Pack!
Doesn't seem like you need tips, you're very close to lack suggestions.
ValleyBase is quite fun. I see some htf_dusk influence on those fort-like structures. Some choke-points can get annoying on their exits, tho. I can't say "improve your shading" because you did improve on the following maps.
Nomansland2. Very effectively managed to make a really fun no-jets map. And i got to say you've managed to do something i've seen very few times: get some tank sceneries to be armonically merged with the map. Same, but with even better effect, applies to Chasmbridge.
I've seen somewhere else (perhaps viggolo did it, and someone else before him) this alien-like concept on LiquidEnergy. Still you had it done nicely. I got a bit dissapointed on gameplay because it gets repetitive quite soon. I wonder if a bigger version of this map (with more paths, not just a resize) would be better...
Chasmbrigde is uber good. Man, keep your maps coming like this one! Shading, layout, scenery, colouring+stretching, and Anna's 3d modelling technique. Just great.

I hope these comments don't spoil your mapmaking skill evolution. Deny them humblefully and we'll be seeing more great maps from you ;)

Thanks for the replies everyone.

papasurf31: Thanks, yeah, the maps get worse as they go down, that's because they are in backwards order of when I made them.
Eagles_Arrows: Thanks, yes I'll keep using polyworks, Anna is a legend.
HHH: Thanks, which screen doesn't work? Are others having this problem?
Flying_Dutchman: Thanks, yeah, ValleyBase is cramped.
Koon: Thanks.
GLulm: Thankyou for the tips, I didn't put deadly polys under the liquid because that would make the map even smaller than what it is.
OutofOrder: Thankyou for downloading, I look forward to the tips you give for my future packs.
Notkeiran: Thanks, are you Keiran?

Phew, there, I acknowleged everyone.
Now for some questions, are all the sceneries in the zip? Can sombody please comment on my waypointing and give me advice on how to improve it? It'd be great if somebody could answer these.

Dude, these maps are awesome. No critiques on looks, they all have great aesthetics. I'm going to have a playtest on them, and after that I might shove this to Quality maps ( like it or not ;) )!

Not anything against kamikaze...but these maps aren't better then demonics recent map, or EA and OoO's casino, etc etc. They may be on the same level, however these maps look like they could be made in original map maker.
