Well, I'm mostly going to be using it for managing things remotely and having internet wherever I happen to be. And I can't play all my games on a Linux. Otherwise, I'd be switching to linux.

I'm not going to pay Dell $150 extra just for XP Pro. I love XP Pro a lot more then any other edition, but you're incorrect on it being more of a rip-off them Home.

The Software specs on the laptop are bare minimum because I have keys from MS Office, etc.

Quote: You can barely play oblivion :D Why not just play it on Xbox360? Especially since I'm going to be purchasing one sometime soon. And it's not mainly for Gaming, more for management and adminstrative purposes.

The Xbox360 version apparently suffers from long load times and has issues with the controller (because of the quick keys, I think).

I bought Oblivion today, and it seems to work fine on my computer (3.0GHz P4, 1GB RAM, Radeon 9550 overclocked)... I can't get "true" HDR and have to limit the resolution and textures and disable FSAA, but it works. And it's still quite nice on this piece of [CENSORED].

EDIT: Oh, and it lags quite a bit sometimes.

I wonder how it will run on my system... Stupid monthly downloads limit! [CENSORED]
