Firstly mate,there are many other better webhosts available than freewebs, there is a list of webhosts hereand should be usefull.

Secondly, for making your own website, try learning html, I personally suggest davesite's html tutorial, it's simple and a great way to learn html. Of course, there are many other sites with html tutorials.

Also this topic should help aswell.
