Me being a classic fan of the original top-down GTA's, I recently found this little gem while searching through the Rockstar website.
As its been for a while, Grand Theft Auto 2 has been free software for a while.
It's well worth the download, and with new internet play, it's something you shouldn't pass up.

My internet is in a bit of a pickle at the moment with horrible spiking, but if I ever get the chance I'd quite happily have a game against forumers here, although I might not be able to til late April; I'm going to Papua New Guinea these school holidays.

You're going to find out the ugly truth about GTA2 network code if you try to play over the internet. The ping is usually horrible even when you have a good connection, but LAN games are perfect.

Yeah I tried it out on LAN quite a while ago, but I was under the impression that my friend bought it.

I've known about this for a long time, but back when I first discovered it, I had dialup. Now I have cable, so I can download it. Thanks for bringing this up.
