I havent seen any race maps in about a long time.

Is nobody playing them anymore?

Have never joined a server with race maps....

I'm glad dodgeball is dead though....

There's a race server somewhere (look for "World Tour").

Sombeody help me, F12 on a climbing map??

There is a glitch on a Enesce's climb map server. When you vote to change the map it gets all messed up. You get a wrong map version error. Then when you re-join everyone spawns in the exact center of the map. (Sometime in the middle of a wall) The flags are gone and the deadly polys don't kill. So you have to sit though a dead map to return things back to normal.
Thats when 4 year olds try to change the map and get the error again.

anyways.. do race maps, all of them, have the rce in front of them?

Most should.

But how do you play them? it doesent work when you try to play them in CTF, do you havr to rename them to ctf_?

err, you should be able to change maps ingame with this command:

"/Map X"

Just open a CTF match, type this command, replacing "X" with the race map name, and there you go.

it should work... make sure the maps are accurate.

They determine speed, and speed is an important factor in soldat, especially when u blitz or when you are running away to get the flag capped.

dodgeball is fun, its better than climb maps anyhow.....

dodgeball is only fun if the admin doesn't mess everything up, and if all the knives don't disappear. I've only played race maps a few times and they were cool so I don't understand why race maps will die. I don't understand why I don't understand!!! :?
