First and foremost, I've attempted every single outlined bug-fix for the hardware alert message, and I'm currently running the latest drivers for both my video card and DirectX (9.0c). My video card is an onboard Intel 82865G Graphics Controller. Strangely enough, it runs Unreal Tournament 2004 at medium-everything without a hitch (not even any choppyness).
What happens is when I load Soldat, it tells me the Hardware does not support DirectX 8.1, but the menu appears. Whenever I try and play a game, the screen (windowed) is entirely black, but I can hear sound and move about. Please let me know if you need any more information.
