im trying to install soldat on my old computer which is 400mhz and has win98. i installed soldat and directX 9 but soldat doesnt work, instead i get this message: error initializing 3D hardware. your hardware does not support directX 8. Be sure to install the latest video drivers. Now software will be used...

this is not the end of it..when i press "ok", i get another window saying: could not initialize directX graphics. You must have installed directX 8 or better. Try turning off extra options like antialiasing.

after the second window the whole game shuts down...

i have tried all kinds of stuff...none of them worked. Can someone help me?
