I got a Radeon 9550 today, I guess it beats my Geforce 3 Ti, would it be able to play Battlefield 2?

I've got a Radeon 9550 too... for another week or so. Wouldn't recommend playing BF2 with it. You could try, but you'd have to set it to very low settings. You'd need at least an X700 or GeForce 6600 to run high quality.

Apparently you can play low quality with around 29 frames per second on a 9550.

lol I tried play bf2, it worked well with medium settigns and a few high settigns but even with the same settings as my brothers comp (Radeon x700) it looked TERRIBLE compared to it but the speed was a bit alright

ATI Suck.
Reason:
From my experiences as a technician, theres about a 10:2 ratio for ATI:Nvidia video card faults.

Only time I've had a problem with my ATI card is just today when I got bored and tried to overclock it to 400MHz - it's 250MHz stock.

I have a 9550 as well. Its the lowest of the high quality ATI cards. Meaning it kicks some butt but not all butt.

I'm kinda stuck with ATI because my 1/2 built 64x computer has an ATI chipset on the motherboard. But its also crossfire compatible. Eat ur heart out SLI

You most likely will be able too.

I have a geforce 6600 that plays Halo with all settings on high.

1. What is the difference between ATI?s CrossFire platform and the competitor?s solution?

A. The principal differences between the competitor?s multi-GPU solutions and ATI?s CrossFire are:

a. CrossFire can enable multi-GPU rendering on all applications.
b. CrossFire supports more rendering modes. Supertiling evenly distributes the workload between the two GPUs to improve performance. CrossFire can use multiple GPUs to improve image quality rather than performance with Super antialiasing (AA) modes. Supertiling and SuperAA modes are only supported on the CrossFire platform.
c. CrossFire is an open platform that supports multiple components and graphics cards that can be mixed and matched in a single system. Competitive multi-GPU solutions are constrained to supporting identical graphics cards.

Sorry Nividia fans, I'm not going SLI.

6600GT, works good for the few games I play. It recently went ape[CENSORED] one night, so I shut it off and went to bed. When I woke up, things looked hella better and I got a 25% increase in FPS, almost to the point the human eye can't differentiate :D
Also, since this in the bashpit for some reason, the human vaginal cavity has never been so defined as it has with the 6600 :D

Bull [CENSORED]! I'm running a ATI Rage on a dell monitor to my left and an Radeon 9550 on a LG to my right. Video looks the same. The only big difference is Render speeds in 3D apps. Unless you got some weaird sims mods, it should be the same.

6600 is nvidia, yo.

Regardless, the same idea should apply. Unless Nividia cards really suck. Then I guess you could say that the lowest qaulity ATI (rage) is equal to that of a good nivida. (when it comes to 2D rendering)

You could also say that the ATI Radeon X1900 (newest card) is equal to an nVidia RIVA TNT (from 1998).
