When i mean Advanced maps, i mean better scenery, breakable objects, moving platforms, water and Physics enabled objects.

Better scenery would include .GIF animations an maybe vector images like .PNG files to add into the levels which could make maps look alot more detailed.

Breakable objects would include walls or explosive crates which could damage othe players or create some very useful secret passageways.

Moving Platforms could include lifts that you could call which would move you across the level.

Water... that would be good seeing as so many levels have used 'Water' in their maps and it unfortunateley has never worked very well. The playe could maybe swim or even die when the fall in. This could also add another twist with objects that when activated oculd act as boats (thinking of the map inf_rescue).

Physics enabled objects could be the best part of all, it could join many of the other features described above together, There could be a destructibe wall which was made out of physics objects which could be a secret passage way do it could go with destructible objects. It could be a bridge that could be destroyed when ropes are cut off or explosives placed nearby. It could also be made as a collider so that you could push it along and use it as cover.

I hope these ideas sounds cool to anybody who reads this and feel free to send feedback. I am also sorry if any of these ideas have been posted before.

All of these were suggested before, and although I do support those ideas, I don't think we'll see them implemented for a long time to come (or ever).

The only good one is better scenry.

Everything else makes Soldat too complicated.

I believe scenery (definately), moving objects, and light physics could be possible.

:-p For soldat? Pshhhhh.... and anyway you'd probably have to change all of soldat's map type just to make this freakin idea.

All of these ideas will require a significant amount of coding and stuff to recoded, and will probably never happen.

But I do support your ideas.

I do like the moving platforms part.

I think its a good idea, i mean why not? You could have some maps with the fancy coding and some without it. Depending on your server you could play either. I like the idea but i also agree it won't happen for a while :(

You should be able to saw open a box and get bonuses out of it...

whats next a third dimension? LOL

No really I like the ideas to... need gif scenery, and add an option to polygons like "Bounce" and have that have 3 different factors, minor/medium/high... which should have the same effect as stacking polygons but without the scuff when you walk over them and just bounce, and have to jump right or something to get the effect

Destroyable polygons would be so awesome though sniper shot xD red faction (1) ftw

not moving polygons if that is what you are talking about ¬_¬

better seneries are just a few clicks away if you have the skill/time to spend in paint. unless you want *gasp* 3d
