I remember back in the days of teh intarweb (before Al Gore updated it to "The Internet"), and in many message boards, peoples signatures would literally be several dozen feet long. You'd have to scroll for a good 20 seconds to get past one persons sig. It would be filled with pictures and essays. Clearly that format is more reasonable than now.

Brick already said that he'll only reban permanently banned people if they [CENSORED] up on the new forum, so if you get permabanned on the last day it shouldn't really matter. Besides, if it's the first time you get banned it's usually only two days or so, why would the admins bother rebanning someone when they're going to unban them the next day anyway?
