I know that everybody has there thing with soldat, like Flies with stats, Enesce with his programs and his climb servers, and clans are just clans.

But im a pretty dedicated soldat person and i really need to know what i should do in soldat? What do you think i could do to make Soldat and to get friends at the same time.

well whatever your hobby is then relate it to soldat, i like writing stuff and making movies, i am playing a spoof live action soldat movie.

Just play soldat, dude. It's fun.

regular soldat player.


My hobbies there include being in a clan, forum talking, and sometimes irc talking...

I don't play and just post on the forums and on IRC and end most sentances with a [CENSORED]ty litle sideways face :D

Make maps! and by friends, do you mean soldat friends, or friends in school or something?

Making maps is the most satisfying thing to do on Soldat, along with making a dedicated server.

You could try and draw some Soldat comics, those are pretty easy.

Note that if you're attached to a router, you can pretty much forget the server thing, unless you're good at router configuration.

Shoover dont you even bother trying to host a Soldat Server off your home connection. You could try getting some sort of co-owner position with a fansite, or do something everyone and their mother can do... mapping!

Well that's not completely true.. If I remember correctly, there was a short clip somewhere, heh.

Just like Sexy said, find whatever you like to do and then make it fit into Soldat. Drawing, talking, coming up with ideas etc.

Just be active, and try to contribute in anyway possible. I wanted to help more in the Soldat Community, but lack of time is what keeps me from really contributing. Like everyone said, mapping is easy and if you keep working at it, you can start to be really well known. A lot of people in the American Soldat Scene, as I call it (the community that mainly plays in servers and online), know me.

I've considered starting a few servers off of a business connection. The company I work for offers Internet Service in some areas, so I'd just have to get a server running at one of our main offices and have it ran that way. But the server would be running other game servers, 1 of which would be Freelancer. But of course, it's hard to work on a server from a remote location without some kind of Terminal Service or VPN connection. I suppose Remote Desktop could work.

You must first worship Chakra, and then you must let us all squat on your face. Certainly worshipping Chakra will help the most. You letting us squat on your face is only something I found fun in my time of bordom.
