. only one army may prevail .

A dark cloud casts its shadow all across the war-torn earth. Gore has become apparent in this war, with bloody soil left in the battle's wake. It wasn't always like this... there was once a time of peace. A time of prosperity. A time... of happiness.

Few hold on to that happiness today.

Long ago the world was split into four nations: Alpha, Bravo, Delta, Charlie. Long ago, these nations worked together to improve the world, to help their people, to make everyone happy. For decades there was peace, a worldwide alliance without war to worry over.

There was a hidden agenda, however, that the Bravos had planned.

After 30 years of peace, an overnight strike occured by unknown forces off the western Charlie coast. Soon, half of the nation was taken over by renegades looking to start an uprising. Crying out for help, the Charlies were given assistance from the only nation left who were tolerant of their ways: the Alpha Powers.

For years, Charlie had been a harbor for all outlaws from the three rival nations and had housed many spies, assasins, and the like. It was frowned upon by the three nations, but only Delta and Bravo ever raised their fists over it. Alpha was respectful of the Charlies decisions.

It would prove a fatal error in the end.

Soon, Alpha forces arriving on the Charlie coast to assist in driving off the renegades would find themselves instead fighting a defensive battle. The last words from a commander over Alpha radio during one battle were chilling... a haunting foreshadowing to what was yet to come: "YOU BLUE TRAITORS!!!"

A worldwide uproar ensued. Delta was in a state of anarchy as the government struggled to maintain peaceful during the time of mutual struggle. Alpha and Bravo worked together in trhying to decipher how the renegades were able to break into Charlie borders and conquer as they had. With the Charlies finally putting up a strong defensive front and forming a new border for what was left of their country... the renegade soldiers who'd conquered so much were finally revealed.

Bravo had began its move.

Hours after the word finally escaped from the pinned down Charlie nation that Bravos had invaded and taken their land from them, another massive strike occured from the air on the Delta Alliance, which was still in a crippling state of anarchy. It was simple for the most part, the Bravos simply cut through them like a hot knife through butter. Only until the proud anarchists who fought to rid themselves of their seemingly 'oppressive, weak government' began fighting the bravos instead did the forces get stopped dead.

Delta and Charlie's size had been completely cut down: both countries only held a third of the land they once did, and bravo was continuing to push at what was left of their border.

Alpha struck back immediately following this invasion, as already they were warding off an air attack from the Bravos off the western coast. The sheer militaristic advantage held by the Bravos, however, allowed them to not only push back the Alpha soldiers, but invade their lands and push several miles inward from both eastern and western fronts.

Alpha's country had been reduced to three fourths of it's former size, while Bravo's continued to grow evermore.

There was no explination for the attack: the Bravo leader merely rallied his troops onward, as though they'd been at the war for the past 30 years; and in some ways... they truly had been.

Years of war began for all four countries, as they built up their armies to fight. Among these armies there formed many 'clans', tightly knit groups of soldiers so advanced that they were able to take on one another in combat with unparalled skill. Abilities were soon being discovered, as some soldiers tapped into powers not a single person could ever have imagined as being possible.

Knives thrown for miles with the simple flick of the wrist. Sniper shots to the head shrugged off. The ability to fly. The ability to turn completely invisible.

More and more these things began to pile up, and more and more of the most experienced clan members learned to master these new techniques. Younger, less experienced soldiers who were kept outside of the clans seemed to test these powers as well, though often their lack of skill left these abilities useless for them.

Eventually... elite clans were formed, and the best of the best for all four nations were made to be the final fighters needed to bring their side to victory.

It's been 13 years now. 13 years of war... and by now, the motives have changed. Each side has its own agenda in this war, it's own rhyme and reason for fighting. The elites have formed a fierce rivalry with each other, a rivalry which may lead to the uprising of one of the four nations.

For this war now rests on their shoulders... they are the figureheads of their nations. Should any of them fall, so should they whom those groups are fighting for.

A manual has been assembled for those without knowledge of these elite groups or their nations' purposes. Please, there is little time left... if you do not yet understand these people, now is the time to do so.

For tommorow may never come.
