so i was watching Mythbusters last nite at like 2 am and they were doing a thing on improving gas mileage in cars and what not, and at the end of the show they ended up putting used cooking oil, from like McDonalds deep fryers, strained it and put it in a desil car, AND IT FUKING RUNS!!! and it seems you only lose about 10% fuel economy using free cooking oil!! but it only works in desil cars.

2) this is nothing new, many companies and people actually run their cars off of a combination of used grease, vegetable oil, and diesel fuel. In the end it is only about 30% real diesel fuel, the rest is vegetable oil/grease/stuff. They only use some diesel fuel to help the car start, though really it'd work fine without any. This is called biodiesel

lol...we have cars that run with natural gas, biofuels and alcohol..its kinda "have to" to make up new fuels as the fossil fuels will run out in about 30+ years and before that they will be real expencive.

This is all true however do not believe any mechanics who tell you they will convert your diesel engine to run completly biodiesel(it is possible and you can find places that will do it for you) However after maybe a year your engine will break down alot! Diesel engine are never made to be able to run perfectly biodiesel! It puts considrable strain on the engine.

Biodiesel has been around a while, at this place I'm living at, the neighbors have a whole refinery thing in their backyard, they collect the [CENSORED] from all these little mexican resturaunts and roach coaches, but it's way easier to just use gas and get a motorcycle.

Diesel sucks... you have to have a 100% empty tank before you can refill AFAIK

In Hungary, if you use 'non-commercial' fuel or oil ( like cooking oil ) and you get caught, you get fined, bigtime. I love our government.
