Ok all of you who are a bit bored with Soldat,(you shouldn't be!!!), look here to find some interesting things to do. Also, please suggest things aswell.

Things to do:;:

Stealth. (As in hiding) Hide in areas people can't see you, then kill them, highly amusing.

Use some hand combat weapon like knifes and chainsaws to kill peeps. Highly amusing.

Do some maps you wouldn't normally do.

Pretend you are a bad player at the start of a game (multiplayer), then come back in amazingly good victory?

Grab the flag and play football by throwing it to your friends.

Nade spam the flag (works well in laos)

Minigun/Spas/M79 race across the map

Use a soccom for the entire game

Camp.

Take screenies right when you kill someone (F4) then turn those into a wallpaper for us =)

Have you read the soldat manual? You press F4 to get screenshots, printscreen can only hold 1 screenshot, then you have to dump it on paint and save for every file.

Pretend you are a bot in a zombiematch. To prevent getting your name to be Zombie(1), name yourself 2ombie. Lucida Console and BankGothic have twos almost identical to Zs.

stealth? yep that's fun.
melee weapons? yea chainsaw is fun, but knife alot of people already use.
camping is always fun.

i got one, tk all your teammates. and try to stay alive every single round to tk all your teams and not get tked by them :) highly amusing.

Drop all your weapons and run around the enemy screaming 'PEACE!!!!!!'. See how many people you can get to not shoot you.

Try a climbing server.

A good way to trick overconfident players who have a bad attitude... XD

I actually had a neat idea a couple minutes ago for a new variation of zombie match:

You are the zombie, the bots are the humans. Get some friends to play this with you, or just use bots for zombified teammates as well as humans.

Participate in 'Life'

spam the boards....

no but really, play flag frenzy and your boredom will be cured forever.

-call yourself something like "U.S. N4VY S34L $N1P3R", change your looks to the original Major / Soldier look and write a "pwned" taunt and a "noob" taunt, then use the pwned taunt everytime you kill someone and the noob taunt whenever you get killed.
even better is always calling someone "*weapon* noob" depending on the weapon you get killed by and using chainsaw, barret, minigun or m79.





-change the bullet type of chainsaw in "weapons.txt" in the soldat folder to 3, the bullet speed to -100, the ammo to 1 and the fire speed to 0. have fun speeding across maps :D




-play a map with many bouncy polygons (for example ctf_junglejump)




-try a climb server (as said before)

-try an RS CS map server

-try a dodgeball server

- Stab a M2 stat. gunner with the Knife (no throwing). I did that once. It was awesome :-D

Take a Major look, call urself Major and start playin as good as u can. When we did it with clanmates on our public server other people facing 3 crazy majors just left =(

U can also try to stab a sniper with a knife - its even more interesting than m2 gunner. Did it today but instead of starting demo before I stopped it :((((((

Try Zombie mode, Advance mode.

Go low on Equniox with two miniguns and get a team member to do it too.

Just alternate fire and you can completely shut down the whole low tunnel.


Another fun one is the hill on Viet, but only really if you're on Alpha.

If you're bored with Solday then stop playing it for a while. Put it down, and come back to it later on when it's not so common and every day.

Geologist is right...when i lost my broadband because we moved...which was about a 7 month period...then i came back to it when i got my broadband back...and it was suddenly fun, as if i had never played it before heh...

Please don't use Charlie and Delta teams in CTF, they really ruin the balance of the game by being an enemy that spawns right in the opponents' bases. If someone made a CTF map that supported four teams, that'd be terrific and fun, but right now disrupting a normal game just to be a jerk really isn't helping. :/

Just play soccer with bebises, always cheers me up.

- Do a 4-way HTF match on a smallish DM map, like RatCave.
- Host an HTF server, put yourself and a bunch of zombies on Charlie or Delta, then go around chainsawing people and throwing the flag into unreachable or hard to reach areas. It's fun.
- Play TM on CTF maps.
- Play HTF on CTF maps.
- Play Rambo on CTF maps.
- /pwn everyone in the game.
- /mercy while not holding any weapons. SUPARPUNCH!!1!
- /piss off a cliff.
- Play catch with a knife. It helps to just tap the Throw Weapon button.
- Change "Barret M82A1" in weaponnames.txt to its correct spelling, "Barrett M82A1".
- Try to get in the way of all of your teammates' shots, then say "omfg u tking noob", especially if Friendly Fire is off.
- Mod the animations so that your player moonwalks and/or always shoots from behind their back.
- Find all the swear filters in the Soldat Forums, then break them. (One down!)
