Well, I haven't figured out a name for this map yet (it seems that's one of the hardest parts of making a map: finding a name for it), but I've sketched it up, and began basic construction of it. I have a few of the platforms to finish on the actual map in PolyWorks, but here's a basic sketch I drew up a couple days ago:

What do you think? Should I continue working on it? Or should I scrap the idea, and think of something else? Feedback is appreciated =).

Also note: I went into GIMP and erased the notebook lines the best I could, but in between the hand-written words was kinda hard XD, so forgive me for that.

Well, I think I may wait for a few more opinions on it, and maybe see if anybody has any suggestions for me =).

I think it would be ok but what do I know...

Ways too complicated. Any don't make your ideas so blocky.

It looks nice, if not a tad big. It would actually be pretty awesome IMO if you cut off the entire top half and made a map using the second ledge on the left as its ceiling and used the rest downwards.

That handwriting... is worse than mine. And that's saying something oO'

Well that's a couple people that say it's complicated XD. How exactly is it 'complicated' though?

Quote:made a map using the second ledge on the left as its ceiling and used the rest downwards.

I suppose I'll try that... Do you mean the second ledge that's immediately underneath the other on the left? And, if I do that, do you think I should keep the ledges with the hexagon-shaped space in the middle? Or scrap that as well as the stuff on top?

LOL, I used to have good handwriting... Now it's terrible XD.

Thanks for the comments though, guys. I'll try to work on that sometime soon ^_^.

Mm, perhaps I should've clarified more.

I'm talking about making a map like this:

Just a general idea. It's your layout, so you can do whatever you want with it. I just personally think the original pic. at the very top is rather large and too complex... like HH (who the heck made that map, anyways?)...

Ah... Ok. Well, I think what I'll do is take the original map (since I have it almost done), and duplicate it into another map, and then just take off the top part, and do the bottom. Because, what I realized what I did when I ran a test run through it, is I made everything to small =\. That happened to me one other time =\. I hate when that happens... So it may take longer that I expected, because I have to re-make the map, basically =\. Then I'll just have to think of a name, because SML is down for some reason, so I can't use the random map name generator XD.

Thanks for the suggestions, though, Keron =), I appreciate it ^_^.

ummm. if u use polyworks u can resize the map. that might help u a bit.

Really? How can you re-size the entire map? I don't think I've seen that tool, besides selecting all the polygons i want, and using the re-size tool...

I'm not on my own computer, so I can't pull up Polyworks to make sure, but I think it goes something like this:

*Select the entire map
*There should be a tab for transforming certain aspects...look in there and you should be able to change the X and Y properties of the map, making it wider and taller as you desire

When I fly back home I can give a better description with the actual program in front of me.

Ah.. ok. Thanks Geologist =). I think I know what you're talking about... I'll have to try that. Thanks a lot ^_^.
