That's because your calculators suck. This means six divided by six divided by six, in that order according to the accepted rules for mathematics (PEMDAS, from left to right). The only possible answer is 1/6.

Yeah. Parentheses, Exponents, Multiplication, Division, Addition, Subtraction. Personally, the whole differentiation between exponents and roots, addition and subtraction, and multiplication and division always seemed bogus to me since those pairs are the exact same operations. It should really be PEMA.

The next time we see a peaceful forum, it will be, in another website, a website where spam never existed and, forum post counts did not exist, it will never happen. I think it is time that we make a stand, not just we, us, us and everybody, because if we get everybody to unite, its us + everybody = A group of people who believe in a non-spam community.

And this hasnt just happend here, its happened everywhere, Soulsnipa did it. And I could have sworen that ivel did this once again.

I say we take out the post count for when operation bum weasel happens, and put in a spam proof seal. Where there will be certain limits to people posting per day, per minute, per second, even people who post less than a certain amount of words, and to people that dont post anything related to the subject.

No parentheses are just brackets and parentheses while fractions are division.

The ^3 in that case would be an index number, or at least thats how we learn it in our classes. It's probably a British way of teaching it (if you are in the States, that is. If you are from England, then it's probably American).

Even though it doesn't follow the proper order of operations, I'm going to assume to do the smaller one first. If not, it's still 6/6/6 = 1/6.

Yeah, what cookie wrote is essentially 6/(6/6) or written correctly it's (6*6)/6, which equals 6. It's considered bad form to leave a fraction in either the numerator or the denominator though, except in special circumstances when it actually helps out such as when you have to find a limit as the number goes to 0 or infinity.
