Can it be possible to use hamachi(www.hamachi.cc) to set up a soldat server? so other users can join? if so, how would you do it?

If you mean a 'dedicated' server, not entirely sure if it's possible. Otherwise with plain old Soldat, go into options and make sure your connection is set to 'LAN' and create a server, and that people set 'local' in the Request Server tab before searching. I think.
Basically treat it like a LAN. Thats what hamachi is about ...uses vpn connections to achieve an 'online LAN'.

Last time I tried to play Soldat with Hamachi, it didn't work...

Yeah Soldat does work with hamachi, I did it once with Soldat 1.2.1...
BUT
It has horrible lag... Pings spike to 1,000+

You'd be far better off just finding an empty public server to play in with your buddies
