Hey I'm new to the forum. [8D]

I was wondering what everyone thinks is the best weapon / or which one they use most. Don't say like: It depends on the map, but just tell the weapon you generally use most.

I use the 2nd weapon, it's speedy and quick reload time.

yesterday (i only have soldat 1 day) i went really well against the bots with this weapon but today I only got to 3rd place or something [:-weepn] Oh well, guess i need some more practice

nah i personally think the mini gun isnt that strong, im used to the ak and the deagles,
deagles is 2 shots and the enemy is dead.
so for noobs i prefer deagle, it quite accurate and all.

imo there are no noob weapons, and soldat is one of the most balanced games. for each weapon you must use a different style of play and different strategies. each weapon can be mastered at almost the same level, except for minimi and minigun, that are only useful if used in team games.
although the minigun is really disturbing if used in some situation (like to block you when you have the flag) it can be deadly in team games

barret, ruger, deagle, m79

sometimes ak74 for low lag server

actually I go kick ass with minime on occassion, its really strong if you come close enough. :)

Else I just go with Steyr, m79, barret deagles or shotgun :d hehe, 5 fav weapons I have :)

I did, great weapon for team games.

Spas because its good with nades
Minim Machiney guyn because it kicks ass.
Barret because i can shoot people way way WAY of screen with it

I'd have to say that my favorite weapon is the m79 because when you get good, you can do some real damage easily. It does take a while to get used to on 1.1, but it is worth it when you master it.

I respect all weapons and no weapons are disabled on my server. Only a true "n00b" would call a weapon or another person that.....

Again, repeating past posts, there are NO noob weapons, you can choose enything you want from day one and practice it, there is no difference between a newb trying out a new gun and an expert having the first time trying out that same gun.......

1.) Desert Eagles (good reload and damage)
2.) Steyr Aug (good reload and quick kill)

ak is better in its own way. it does not have the same power as the steyr, but more ammo!

My personal favorite is the AK-47 but I sometimes use the Steyr AUG in heavy situations.

AK ownz Aug cuz its bullet are stronger and hurt more

also, it has more ammo :P

Maybe this is a noob question... but after playing for a few months, I had no idea you could carry a barret AND an m79... is that possible? That's a lethal combo.

Yup drop your secondary weapon...f... then run over a m79 . and you'll get it ;)

It is possible, you have whichever weapon you want to drop, you hold it whith your hand, to swap weapons press Q, to drop the weapon you are holding in your hand press F, when you have nothing in your hand you can run over weapons dropped on the floor and it will pick them up :)

Be advised, weapons do not drop by random from the sky....you get them whenever a soldat that was holding them died, or dropped them.....they dissappear after a couple of seconds of lying down on the ground

I used to play with ak now i changed :)

I use Spas-12 now, thats right yesterday i switched coz i got bored of the ak now its Spas time!
after 8 (or 10) hours of bot training with Deathmatch, Temmatch, CTF, Infiltration.
I was ready to ace the internet. I went in there and the next thing I knew it!

yeh but i get like 33 ping in the internet so its no difference and plus i aint allowed to play internet much coz i got cable which just has a 3gegabyte download limit wahhhh..
and im also networked with like my brothers and sister and dad (this equals to networked to 5 other computers) and we always on internet we keep gettign capped and my dad keeps gettign annoyed f.uck you optus (our cable connection) its so gay it used to be 20gegabyte and if you go over limit they kick you out now its 3 gegabyte and when you go over limit they turn your cable to a 28k modem for a month!! f.uck them and we keep gettign capped coz gettign over the limit. and my dad keeps getting pissed so i arnt really supposed to play on the net. I told my dad to get adsl (coz we in australia we get [:-censored]ty offers and good offer is adsl) but my dad wont get it dun know why. I think its because adsl here is like 60 kb download speed and cable is like 600 (when its not modified to 28k modem) but in Adsl we dont get capped, so i badly want adsl and i dont care if I have 56k, all you guys are lucky you aint networked and you might think im lucky but im not!!! I dont care about the lag and i dont care!!! i wanna play wanna play i tell you!!!

I like deagles and AUG. Aug for CTF most of the time, adn deagels for deathmatch. I wanna get better and learn to use the M79 well.

Hmm the spaz makes me say EAT LEAD so I use it, when I don't feel like spazzing I use the barret and m79.

3. steyr aug

5. barret/soccom

if there isnt much lag ill take the barret. when ive got a ping over 200 i take m79 or some automatic gun like ak 47 or steyr

back to Evo, you didnt know about having 2 weapons? I know this has been said b4, but how the HELL have you not figured it out. in the first week of me playing soldat i found out. ANyway, off that (though anyone else who feels like burning evo go ahead :)

For weapons, i use barrets and HKs mainly, with some m79 and Spas, and then all the others at some point EXCEPT minigun which sucks really bad.

Funny how many people say the barret is the best weapon :/

Yeah, I think that it really depends on what you're going to use the gun for. I think that the spas is easily the best close-quarters weapon, but i prefer the steyr, mp5 or ruger most of the time.

I love my minimi, I adore my minimi, I cherish my minimi......k, yeah, that sounds weird. Anyways, the FN minimi is my first weapon of choice in any battle. It's an excellent intercepting and guard weapon for CTF and it excells at long range combat if you tap into the way it fires. Though the Styer is a good rival of this weapon, I've made many more kills in air battles with the Minimi. As for the D. Eagles, these babies are my weapon of choice for close range combat, and my counter against M79 users that prefer close range combat.

The minimi's dope for long-range support in team games, but I think the ROF is too slow for short-range usage.
To inzurrection: I kinda like the Barrett, but it takes soooo long to reload (when in real life it's semi-automatic) that you can just get rushed. Unless you have a backup partner with an AUG or something...

yer it is semi automatic in real life, but soldiers cant fire it alot because of the sheer pain of the recoil,

so it is kinda over powered for the game seing as it is a tank hunter,but you can also use granades to back yourself if you are caught reloading, [:P]

but i like it, and if u r good u can use it alot, aswell as the ruger, now improved in 1.1.4, although i dont use it alot.

Barret is good for base campers [:P] and backup if you go in teams,

i use it on the move though, easy if you know how,

AK is VERY usefull, it's accurate, powerfull, and can be used to finish people off or for chaseing people while defending. It has very long range too.

For realistic mode, you'll find the unheralded Ruger is unusually effective.

But nothing beats the unstoppable M79. I like to play suicide bomber with it ^^;

The Ruger is insane on realistic, you can even use it on normal now. I think the reload and delay between shots is way too short. I understand why it's been changed from 1.1.3, but it's just a bit too much IMO.

Best weapon on normal is M79. I like to line up shots so that the bullets trajectory is as close as possible to my targets trajectory. For example, I might shoot slightly over someones head, but I'm still hitting my target which is moving straight into a diving M79 bullet. Doing this properly against a moving target trying to kill you, moving yourself, compensating for lag, using the terrain to your advantage, managing jetpack fuel and reload time, well, I don't want to hear anyone whining about M79 being a n00b weapon.

Socom is best on realistic, at least in maps that aren't very open.

The minigun is not a weapon, it's a jetpack booster :P

Anyway... It's a close fight between the powerful & accurate Ruger 77, and the deadly M79. So I simply cheat and have'em both. :D

for close combat i like spas 12, m79 and mp 5... but for distance combat i like rugger, law and steyr aug... minigun is very good if your going to take the flag alone and the oder team has a massive defens...[:D]

I used to only use the M79, as it's the most satisfying weapon to use especially after doing a great shot, fantastically judging the angles and splitting them open in mid-air. [:D]

Although, after seemingly endless games on Rok, I've started switching to the Barret. Also very handy in Viet.

Oh, and the LAW as my secondary. [;)] If you get lucky and I miss with the M79/Barret... *BOOM*

I'm surprised at how few people chose the ruger, I'm amazed at it's versatility, it can take out 2 peeps with it's 4 rds, and can beat an assault rifle in a firefight(even MP-5) It's so incredibly easy to aim, and it's rounds pop off anyone without them even knowing what happened, however, it's hard to use if you aren't used to it's bullet arc, or aren't good at aiming, since one missed bullet will surely make you lose against an AR, or an SMG. It's only disadvantage to the barret is it's lack of 1-shot kill, and extra-range scope, which is easily made up if you know how to use cover, hills, and dodging to your advantage. (sry, this is turning into a bit of a rant) My secondary usually consists of a SOCOM, or LAW, or if i'm feeling somewhat suicidal, i'll use a combat knife [:D] anyways, that's my input on the topic.

Im starting to like the D Eagles more and more... 3 shoots and there dead... fast reloading to...

Yes the chaingun is #3, lately I have been using a lot, and I have found it useful.. It really sucks if your in close quarters, or trying to chase someone down, but if the map is ctf and has good fuel, and people are flying around trying to kill you, the chaingun can keep them busy for a while and possibly kill one or two.

Ruger... Accurate, fast and powerful whats not to like?
I'd love the socom as a secondary, but the rugers fast reload time
has rendered it irrelivent... So i go with the law, use it then pick up
another weapon...

shotgun is the only weapon i use mostly and when i lan my friends i win so it must be good for something.
desert eagles are good but they're just not as good as the shotgun. i tend to use shotgun with the mp5 if there's a lot of open space and people trying to pick me off. but other than that it's shotgun all the way.

oh and i play realistic more so i tend to shy away from the automatics and go for the one shot one kill moments with the spas. a lot of my friends use deagles and the ruger and they can have really good runs with them.

it's got to be a face off between spas and the eagles. get good with those and you can kick ass.

i mostly use the desert eagles, but i also like the minimi and ak-47 sometimes.

My fav weapon is the barret as well, but only for CTF. In any other type of game deagles rule.

The 1 i usually use is the minimi but i also like the steyr aug and spas, depends on the map.

I really like the Ruger, but mostly I use the Steyr Aug because I am not that accurate ... :-)
In my opinion the Barret really sucks. Spawn --- BAM --- Dead ... I hate those moments...

I use barret and I got my secundary weapon ruger. BARRET IS BEST TO ME BECKAUSE I AM VERY GOOD HIDER IN CTF MODE. Once I hided IN enemy base, shooted them and got MASTA kill.

i like using my M79, dont ever let anyone tell u its a n00b gun, it has slow moving ammo so it take precision and timing to hit jsut right. theres nothign more exhilerating to me than flying up dodging every single one of their bullets popping down a M79 grenade at them and watching the direct hit blow their body parts in all directions, i am Aerialassault, im up in the sky.... watching u die

i go jason mode in some noob servers n throw knives around...its kinda fun

bt barret's weak points i think is that when u prone, the view distance is soooooooo great that the projectile curves tooooo much...n when u in prone u cant really stand up quick

bt with ruger both is no problem

desert eagles r not gud for fiting in serious games bt r fun when u do the matrix thing...(u jump from a high place, prone in the middle of air n shoot desert eagles)

And they have seven shots in their mag. That's double of the Ruger. And the range doesn't matter most of the time, because the deagles are weapons to rush your enemys and get the [:-censored]ing flag *g
You don't camp with them, so you just don't need it...

Totaly agree with Landstreicher. The Ruger is a 2-hit-kill weapon usually, but with the smallest lag it takes 3-4 hits to kill a dude.
On servers with ping over 100 the Ruger blows, so I have to move over to the suckier Deagles.

I like the m79. And minimi sometimes.

I prefer the M79 even tho i am not that good with it
