I've noticed a few people in various topics here saying their servers keep stopping... I was running 1.1.3 BETA2 on Red Hat Linux on a P4 2.4Ghz and this kept happening.
The problem was the maplist. There was a blank line at the end of the maplist file and this was causing the server to try and load a nonexistant map. I removed the line and my server now has two days uptime!!! It's still writing to the same logfile it created on the 19th... so anyway, make sure this isn't the problem you're having. The linux server is working really well for me, havn't had any problems except the anti-lag system can act up at times.
