im getting pretty good at map making but all my maps get black backrounds! how do i change the background??

Ok....look to the right on the map maker. See the tabs labled "Polygons" and "Scenery"? Well, hit the arrow next to those (the right arrow) until you see "Map". Click that tab, and you can change background color, map description, weather, etc.
