Here it is - my first official release map. It took me a while but I'm really bad at getting inspiration and waypoints have been gits up til now.

Anyway, Desolate is a really small map, and not very good for more than four players. It's around the same size of Arena 2. The Green team spawns are meant to parachute down, but I didn't put them high enough and I couldn't be bothered to change it :P. Also, watch out for the bunker as on my pc it respawns you if you touch it...but a nice surprise when you dont expect it >).

Unfortunately the map asks for some scenery that aren't in it :( so I'll put them up. If anyone recognises their scenery I'm not in any way taking credit for doing them as I did nothing of the sort :P.

Hey, what do you mean by 'actually'? :P. I've been practicing on Mapmaker for ages, like I said this is my first RELEASE map.

btw i loaded it with the mapmaker and compiled, saved it. i got a map that doesn't need that additional scenery.

Haha, well I did try messing about with the map trying to get it with no extra scenery, and it works for me but not for others. Dunno about your version, but I don't need it :P.

It looks pretty good, but a bit bare to me...

I dunno, I've seen that people don't tend to like bump mapping. The simpler the better for some. But it's prolly just me who thinks it's bare. It's good, but...seems to be missing something.

Well I think its because there isn't any bulky scenery apart from the trees and bunker on top. The underneath is a bit barren. But the map is just too small for lots of scenery, which I don't like anyway.

Reviving this old thread, just because I felt like doing it.

It's a cool map, even though it's a bit small, it's ok to play online. ;)
