Everytime i join a server using ASE another copy of soldat is run how do i make it join using the soldat that is already open?

you cant, just dont open soldat first and then use ASE. just open ASE only and go to a server.

you can ofcourse always just use th IP (you can see it in ASE) from the server and enter it in your allready opened soldat...

You don't have to open a soldat before opening ASE.
Be sure (if you installed soldat more than once on your HD) that the right Soldat will run after you joined a server in the list. To see the options in ASE press F2 and look under 'Games'.

oh ok thanks. as my com is a bit on the slow side it takes a while for soldat to load and its annoying to have it load everytime i need to join another server. i think i'll do the ip thing

Yepp, that's how I do it: Select the server I want to play on and press Ctrl + C. Now you have the following in your clipboard: IP:Port
Then paste it in Soldat and remove the :Port
