MS paint works fine for soldat.

wtf is MS paint, seriously i make weapons by using Paint but wtf is "MS" Paint lol is that what Paint that coems with windows is actually called?

I use Paint shop cause you can really zoom in so you can fix every pixel lol.

me i've take photoshop for "try" to do mod :P the look was great :) (and a lots of zoom)

Mr.Hash: It's the right forum, but not the right topic :) You should have created a new topic for this, but I'll answer it here:
C:\folder-where-soldat-is\Sfx\ (Sound effects)

Make sure you create a backup of the sound files before you edit them! (Just in case you want the original files back.)

in my opinion the best program for making mods/interfaces is fireworks. It gives you alot of option like fill option which are usfull for shading.

I use Fireworks and MS paint they both help. Fireworks just has more fetures.

for graphics its gotta be adobe photoshop! It's the best image editing package you can get, without a doubt!

fireworks and adobe photoshop are the best to use. thats what i suggest if u want the best lookin weapons

I use Photoshop.

Some tips:

1. Don't start out with colours, draw (a tablet helps here) a basic outline and clean it up.
2. Use A LOT of square marquees. I probably use this tool the most often. Once you have your area selected press alt+backspace to fill it.
3. Use a reference image. If you use a reference your not as likely to skrew up your weapons.

I use paint for the all the ingame weapons and paint shop pro for the weapons in the menu.

you can use a 3d packet like 3dsMax or MilkShape and render your model, then scale down in photoshop or whatever and there you go

I use Paint because the original files are in paint too.

I always use PSP, because it has a very good and customisable lighten/darken tool (Which I never knew about until reading Meandors modding guide..). Also, you can use gassian blur to smooth everything up with it (thanks for that, IRRiTANT. Can't remember where you said it...). However, I started off with (MS)Paint, which is easier to use but it takes longer, having to select a new shade and use it, instead of just lightening entire sections.
